Hot take : the TUDOR ranger is amazing

I watched an episode of about effing time where they rate watches and the Tudor ranger is under the “overrated “ tier.

I love the ranger , it really reminds my of one of my favourite vintage Rolex models: the one 1016 Rolex explorer

From the numerals to the time only complacation

Even the dial reminds me of the ICONIC 1016 explorer

I absolutely love and appreciate the ranger

This is my grail 😍

I like it too, & I'm sure I'll have one in the future. My main watch is the sm300 heritage (2014 model) & I bought it because it's understated class - I get the same laid back high quality vibe from your Tudor.

Very cool indeed mate 😎👍

great watch for the price

I ordered the watch when I could not convince my wife to accept the bronze BB 58 at the Tudor boutique a few months ago. It is a terrific watch might be my favourite from the brand, wears a bit smaller than I like but getting used to it nicely.

BB bronze is also incredible paired with the silver

Absolutely incredible

The Ranger is hardly "overrated" IMHO. Under appreciated if anything 😀

Lovely watch! Congrats! 👍

Does the Tudor bracelet come with on the fly microadjustment?

Lool have to stop at some point. I already own 7, 8 if you count the ceramic taxed by my wife. Great value for the money. Not much refinement but at least tool like.

Best

Almost perfectly realized. The hour hand doesn't really bother me like it does my friends... There is something slightly off about the arabic numbers though. my graphic design friends tried to explain it to me but it was a little over my head other than i see what they see.

·

I don't think it's overrated but I do think it's overpriced, for what it is.

That said, if they released a 36mm version I would buy it on the first day 🤤

·

It is an amazing watch! One of the few that I consistently consider adding just because of its unique design language and character!

Agreed I think it should be about the same price as the Tudor 1926

·

Love the Ranger and I don’t think it’s overrated

·

I should love this. Love the Explorer - especially the 1016. But have to say the ranger does leave me a little cold. Maybe the sizing (36 would be better.) Or just that its a little too pared back (I think its OK for the 1016 to be simple as its vintage - but I do appreciate the little details on more modern Explorers like the applied indices..)

·

Bought a ranger last year and love it.

Don’t think I know anyone who considers it “overrated” though?

·

A watch owned and loved by the person who decided to buy it will never be overrated. Or only by those individuals that decides its not for them for ever reasons. They compare they evaluate its fine but to say that something is overrated is very subjective. So it's their take on a certain product. I think this watch looks very good.

The Ranger is also on my ever changing wishlist.

I just have too much black dial 😅

@cota123 What's the breed of your dog ?

She is an Aussiedoodle. Dad is an Australian Shepherd and mom is a poodle

·

I agree, I like it. Super clean tool watch.

·

? - It does come with on the fly adjustment using its T-fit adjustment.

Oh really? I didn’t know that,my mistake

·

Really nice. I just ordered a Lorier Falcon. It’s as close as I can get.

This watch is awesome, I disagreed with their opinion on that one. My favorite thing is how the light changes the attitude of the watch depending on how the light hits it.

·

If something is overrated, it's the About Effing Time podcast. Sorry, @ANDREW_MCUTCHEN

Does the Tudor bracelet come with on the fly microadjustment?

The Ranger bracelet has the T-Fit adjustment on it. You don’t need a tool to get four little notches of micro adjustments but you do need to remove the Watch from your wrist.

·

I wouldn't hate it if I received one as a gift, but I just can't see myself buying one as I have other goals.

That's not a desire issue, it's a budget issue in my case.

It’s my favorite for sure. I chose it over the BB for being a bit weird. The hands are a little weird, the pukey-green indices are a little weird. The way the 6 and 9 look are weird too. The tiny piece of red at the seconds hand adds just enough color to be noticeable. The shape and size and bracelet all feel perfect. While I rarely take it off its bracelet it really looks great on almost every strap I have, bund or NATO or just black leather.

I can wear it with anything too. I wear a suit for work and it looks fine (I wouldn’t consider it dressy but it’s passable), but my typical dark jeans and black tee make this a perfect bit of accessory.

I’m a sucker for a raised crystal too.

Thanks. If the Ranger came with a white dial option I would be seriously considering.
