I got my first G-Shock as a watch to wear while hiking and camping . . . and then the rabbit hole opened up and I fell right down it. I have 3 now, and they’re still the only watches I wear while I’m in the woods, at the gym, or on my bike, but I also wear them as dailies when the mood strikes me.
Looks like a great trip!
Camping without dogs is no camping I want any part of. We went to Salamonie State Forest in NE Indiana, and this guy had the time of his life (and then slept for an entire day after we got home).
I have the SRPG29, which is the same model except with a blue dial. Yes it’s only got a hardlex crystal and hollow end links, but I still think it’s a great watch and would recommend it to anyone looking for a field watch in the sub-$500 range.
I think you'll find that there's just as much appreciation for affordable watches here as there is attention given to watches that cost more than my car.
