The Lurking Fear
Do you primarily lurk, or do you post/comment?
I keep seeing polls with hundreds of votes, and I think “there’s no way that many people are posting here regularly.” Maybe there are (my math skills are pretty rusty), but I thought I’d make a quick poll to see what the divide is.
Do you prefer to stay hidden in the shadows like one of the Old Ones, or are you one of us chuckleheads who simply must let everyone know what we think about something (because our opinions are solid gold, dammit)?

I post once in a while. Not often. I don’t want to become like the YouTube guys who seem to love hearing themselves talk without saying anything meaningful.
I like to lurk often, sometimes I even come back to certain posts just bc of interesting pictures for instance but mainly depends on my mood or current circumstances although I still have three more post to get my content contributor badge so hopefully soon enough I fulfill that challenge 🤷♂😀
Occasional poster here, though I have been posting more the longer I have been a member.
When I first joined a few months ago it was a new toy and I was excited to finally share my interest with other like minded people, I would make posts and talk on every thread where I could voice my opinion.
As times gone on I've realised that lots of topics tend be discussed repeatedly as is the nature of the hobby, so I don't feel like repeating myself every time which makes me post less.
I've also found that although 99% of people here are lovely and a real credit to this little group, you do get a few people who treat posts a little too literally and don't see them as discussion points, or others that seem to not be particularly enthusiastic about anything at all 😂 so that makes me careful about what I post.
Basically, if I've got something of value to contribute, I post, if I don't, I'm happy just listening at the back!

I post, but I also have a fear of posting. Even typing this is anxiety inducing, but i have to, sometimes i can’t help myself. It’s a weird vicious little brain i have to work with.
I posted once, not making that mistake again.
Without anyone to talk watches with I like to participate on the forum. I post with less frequency now. Partly cause of lack of ideas, partly cause of the theme already been covered. When out of inspiration I can enjoy some lurking. To date I have never taken any pauses from WC but I have had my periods of silence.
