Only upgrades to my core 5-watch collection:

Luxury : VC Overseas

Dress : VC 1921 American

Diver : Seamaster 300m

GMT: Rolex Sky Dweller

Calendar: Patel Perpetual

·

My current watch wishlist:

  • Omega Aqua Terra 38mm green teak dial

  • - or - Omega Railmaster Denim dial (it's a coin toss)

  • Grand Seiko SBGX261

  • Casio F91WM-7A

What I'll probably get instead:

  • A new air conditioner. The current one still works but is on its last legs and its only getting hotter here! Have a HVAC sales rep coming by week after next to discuss options. So, I'll probably end up getting the Casio 🙄

·

Also the Longines Conquest 38mm!

·

Literally copied and pasted from my phone:

Nomos NWC (acquired)

  1. Grand Seiko Shun-bun  (business casual, acquired)) - for book deal and Japanese rights

  2. Giuliano Mazzuoli Manometro (odd ball/sentimental, acquired)) - Italian Rights

  4. JLC Reverso 270.8.54 or 272.8.54 (dressy/business casual/ iconic) - for next book deal

  5. AnOrdain Model 3 Lichen or a Fume Model or Moonphase? (2027/2028 build slot) (artisan dial) for wedding anniversary

  6. Zenith Triple Calendar Moonphase or GO PanoReserve or Trilobe Brume (Unique and/or important movement but still versatile) - for promotion to full professor

The newest addition to my wish list is the grey/black Rolex GMTII. I didn’t like it in photos but love it on wrist.

The Cartier Tank Américaine large may come first. It’s simply stunning.

I also want to go back and revisit some models I slept on, like a five digit polar Explorer II and a Speedy reduced.

Then there’s my standard wish list items, no date Sub, Polaris, FiftySix and BPFF. There are too many watches and never enough money.

·

Trying to trim down my collection before I consider another addition

I’ve had the SPB185 and it’s a real beaut! The only thing on my list is a long term goal and the final “major” purchase I plan to make - the IWC Pilot’s 36. Endgame for me.

Is this fully brushed? Looks so similar to a Laco Flieger Pro 37

Something interesting and unique

It’s not fully brushed. There are a few components of the case and crown that are polished.

10/10, excellent list! Right now I'm looking short term at the Chris Ward 12, medium term at a Longines dress chrono (possibly vintage), long term at a BB Monochrome jubilee or 39/40mm Explorer, long long term at a theoretical 40mm Explorer II rerelease in like 2045 or something, and twilight years long term at a Royal Oak Off Shore chronograph

·

Haven't thought about this bcuz my cup run-eth over and nothing's lured me, but here's a try at a list:

Seagull 1963

Wise Adamascus

Casio MDV106 all blue dial and bezel

Hamilton Murph 38mm

Citizen NaviHawk A/T

"Mission to Mercury" Moonswatch

·

1) TAG Glassbox or a Speedy

2) a light/sky/gradiant blue skindiver with a relief bezel. Something like the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronos edition but with a 20mm lug width.

3) oh, and the Grand Seiko SBGH341 for the wife to match.

Not much of a wishlist given I'm not even sure which one I'd want of 1), and I don't think 2) exists yet. Probably a good thing.

Currently this one

Citizen NB1060-12L

Venezianico Nereide Tungsteno 39

Traska Summiteer 36

Christopher Ward C63 Valour

Maen Brooklyn 36 Triple Calendar

Casio Oceanus OCW-S100B-1AJF

This will keep me busy for a few years at my current spending pace, so I'm not sure how this list may get reshuffled on its way to completion.

In case of unexpected surplus funds, the Maen could be replaced by a Furlan Marri White Sector and the CW by an automatic chronograph with a Seiko NE88 movement (Venezianico Bucintoro or Pitzmann III).

·

Formex Reef.

Hanhart Pioneer Silva white dial.

Serica 6190 commando.

Omega Railmaster.

·

The green #longines is just amazing 👏
