Legend!!!

·

Can’t wait for mine to arrive. It’s a looker, bruh.

·

Good luck with the watch

·

I was wondering when you’d drop the announcement here! I love the look, but have a few gripes. Hey, everyone’s a critic. Overall, a great first watch! I hope this means we’ll be seeing more MAD watches in the future.

·

I like the general concept but have a few ✅ and ❌

✅ Great inspiration and update to the Omega 2179/2; love the brushing and shape of the hands; great strap choice; 36mm x 44mm x 12mm is a very wearable size;

❌ Manual wind with screw down crown = goodbye crown tube; similarly the movement might not be able to handle it (see ETA 2824); I’m a font nerd and copperplate forgot everywhere looks odd, as does the name; price wise it’s a little high compared with the other Chinese offerings.

But best of luck! And well done for making a watch! I certainly haven’t!

·

Congrats on the release, though I wish you went with something with an exhibition case

·

If this is still at the prototype stage, I would suggest you screw the rotor back on & sell it as an automatic. A manually wound movement is not an automatic with the rotor removed!

You know what? I’m not gonna But thank you so much the advice my friend

·

Congratulations Russell! I am very excited! I actually LOVE the frigging! screw down crown! Modern Manufacturing technology available today can give us a manual wind and screw down crown feature on the same watch. The price point for this kickass watch is a gift! Best of Luck Brother and we will be seeing your collaboration on my wrist soon!

·

Preordered! Excited for this one! 🍻

·

Bravo! 🤩

Let’s see how how we do my friend!

The signing of the crown is very very good 👍

I don't find thay very reassuring. However much you "bond with" or "take care of" this watch, that crown is still getting screwed and unscrewed every single day.

A screw down crown seems like a very odd choice given that it's completely unnecessary for 100m WR and it introduces an obvious point of failure for a handwinding watch.

Sure, you don't have the resources of a Longines to test this novel idea, so I'm baffled as to why you chose it.

There's a reason why almost all dive watches are automatic.

Yes! As the 9039 has a power reserve of 42 hours we may assume daily winding, which over a 5 year period would necessitate 1,825 uses of the screw down crown. The Rolex 6694 has a replaceable tube for this reason.

For a comparable automatic this is theoretically as low as 10 uses (twice annually for clock changes). Realistically Miyotas run +/- 10s it would be monthly, meaning 60 operations over 5 years.

·

Great watch! Love the research you put into it and the care. I would love to review it with my son, just let me know 😇https://youtube.com/@FatherSonWatchTalk?si=gm0pXNQwBoPjXEzV

·

Congratulations. I just watched your youtube promo. Love the back story and why you did what 👍and truly hope it’s a success for you and the start of many other watches. Unfortunately my wife said “just get the Timex Expedition, it’s a better size on your wrist, still works if you forget to wind it and you can beat it up and replace it 3-4 times at that price”… sorry mate but she holds the cheque book.

·

Well done & best of luck, MWC!

Great video & back story as well.

Love all the details.

& as a skinny wrister, I approve of the case size.

·

Supppar 😉😀

·
