How Do You Organize Your Watch Box?

I organize by brand. The Omegas, the Hamiltons, etc.

Normally, it's pretty random but if I'm taking a pic for an SWC, I usually arrange them in order of purchase.

·

I thought the same thing, now on box 2!

·

I chose D but I organize by Dailies and Specialists

·

I have my sentimental watches that I don’t wear very often top left and after that it is pretty random. My most worn ones seem to be center of the bottom row though.

·

I organize mine by shape and size

·

Themes. Swiss luxury, Micros, mid-tier, independents.

·

"Organize your watch box"? What does this mean?

·

I go from least expensive to most expensive to showcase my journey in watch collecting. It puts my personal success into perspective

·

I organize by lug width so I got a box each for 18, 20, & 22 mm. So I keep straps in each box so it becomes more idiot-proof when swapping them out.

·

Some by brand and some by theme...

·

The ones that I wear the more are more accessible and the others stay on the other side.

·

what do you use then?😳 A night stand like a psycho?

·

I go from left to right and do it by tier. I start with just regular watches (Seiko 5, timex) then go up to entry level one luxury (Hamilton, Tissot). Then you get your second level luxury (Longines, Tudor, Oris). Third level (Omega, Rolex, Breitling). 4th (Ulysses Nardan, JLC), 5th (usually top level. Holy Trinity, Richard Mille etc)

·

By size... smaller to the left and larger to the right

Wow, Seiko to Richard Mille? That's a huge spread.

I don’t own all those brands I was just generalizing based on tiers. Your list got me thinking on watch box arranging and tiers of watch brands. I just posted about watch tiers! Thanks for getting me thinking on this with your post.

E) buy a watchbox 🙂

·

I organize by Dress watches, sporty watches, daily watches.

·

Sometimes it's by size but right now it's random

·

At most one row for automatics and one row for quartz. Maybe a third row inbetween the two for mechanicals.

·

I organize by most worn to least.

·

I keep six strap models in the top row and six bracelet models in the lower row. Overflow and vintage are kept in another box.

This thread needs pics.

I organize them by type purely because It helps me rationalise the need to get more watches 🤦‍♂️😁

·

6 main watches in box, ordered by brand (Omega, Seiko) lots in boxes under bed waiting to be sold or gifted, big box at parents with dozens of broken or "lesser " watches chucked in.

·

I like to sort by brand for the most part, so the top row I have the more expensive watches and my three Marathon’s, and below I have a full row dedicated to my Seiko collection

·

I go by type (g shocks, fliegers, dive, dress, etc...)and size.

·

Vintage.

·

Chronologically by purchase date

I do the same

·

I have ten watches, 6 with black/dark dials and 4 with white/silver dials. I therefore arrange them with the 4x white/silver dials breaking up the darker dials as if I'm arranging boy/girl seating arrangements at a 1950s dinner party. OCD and this hobby certainly seem to go hand in hand.
