Not a difficult choice were I to have received that same call. If I don't like it, the only other decision is, can I sell it on at a guaranteed profit? Given the large cash outlay, a falling market, a quick sale is unlikely unless there's an Annual Village Idiots convention nearby. Easy pass for me.

I love a Daytona, but while I haven’t been offered a second stainless, I seem to be given a lot of FYIs about precious metals. That said, I told my SA that if he does get a sniff of a Le Mans, to call me. I cannot imagine that happening.

Nope not crazy at all. its a nice looking watch but if it isnt what you want it isnt what you want. Plus when I think Rolex, I think a watch that is timeless (Seriously no pun intended. its not even 7am yet and I've been up since 3. I'm too tired to attempt funnies.) and rose gold just isnt timeless IMO. The only rose gold watch I'd consider from the crown is a Sky Dweller and TBH idk why, to me its just the only watch I like in rose gold. I also would never put that sorta money into a watch (I hope).

Jae, you have one the largest and most varied time piece collections on earth. Seriously I'm sure you could have a museum in the future.

If you don't want the piece, that is 100% your call. You will know buy now (hopefully) what you like and dislike. And if this one's not for you, then let someone else have a shot.

I think what you did was smart. I too have turned down pieces. One was a Kermit, and a Batgirl. I just didn't want them. I told my AD to call someone who really wanted it. Shortly after I received a call for what I really wanted. I'm sure turning some down gave the AD assurance I'm not a flipper.

If you try it and it doesn’t work don’t pull the trigger - I waited 6 months for a bronze Brietling diver got the call, tried it on and it just didn’t work for me, so no sale .
