How do you store yours.

Afternoon all, I’ve been sat pondering over which watch box / case to get to keep my watches. I’ve considered breaking out the tool box and making my own, but the cost of timber at the moment is ridiculous.

What do you use to store yours and let’s see some pics 😁

I keep mine in rolls so if I ever need them I can just throw them into a backpack

·

I bought a leather watch roll on Etsy. I am Happy with the quality and look.

·

I have this...

Image

And I did just order following 6 seater 14 days ago for 32 euro at Amazon...

Which almost will have room for the rest of my collection...

So these two extra skeletons, have to stay hungry for love in a tiny Chinese chest...

A while back I switched my storage strategy to a Wolf 12 slot stackable system. Suddenly, these are no longer available and I've only converted 75% of my stuff. Haven't really decided on the pivot yet; other than I give up for the moment, it is what it is.

These guys from Amazon. Hard case, soft interior, zip close. Good for travel when you want to take more than 1 along. I need another one.

·

I got a 12 slots watch box off Amazon for $45, solid quality for the price with nice leatherette pillows and accessories drawer under for straps. Each slot is lined with soft material to prevent scratches.

Also, a 6 slots box was gifted by my girlfriend not knowing I purchased one for myself, so I have an empty box which led me to make a list of watches I want to fill up with 😂

These both are great for the price and I don't have a single complaint knowing what I paid. It gets the job done.

·

I ordered a jewelry stand from Amazon. It's simply a vertical post with half dollar thick wood dowels coming off both sides at different lengths. I simply hang the watches on the dowels. It also allows me to develop a hierarchy.

·

Tawbury watch box off of amazon, not as expensive as a wolf but not cheap either, I have had it about 6 months now and I like it just fine.

·

I got one off Amazon. It holds 6 watches and detritus. Defo due an upgrade

·

I use a few different methods to store my watches. For most of my automatic luxury Swiss watches I use a Wolf 8-slot winder or a watch stands that you can get off of Amazon or other online watch shops. I also have a case from Volta that’s an eight slot box with storage underneath for gloves or bracelet changing tools. I also have a Wolf valet tray w/watch roll by my bedside.

I use a combination of watch winders, display boxes and stands.

In a safe

10-slot box with drawer from Rothwell SF. Bought it because I liked the price and the color, and have been totally satisfied. Recently added one of the "Amazon Best Seller" bargain-basement boxes for the growing collection to spill over into, and wish I had sprung for another Rothwell; the $20 version feels hilariously cheap in comparison. Though I don't doubt it will be perfectly adequate to the task of housing my timepieces, which also tend toward the hilariously cheap.

I use this one from Amazon which was £60. The best thing with it for me was the watch compartments are large and aren’t cluttered, a couple of my Gshocks are pretty fat and they’re nowhere near touching despite being next to each other.

(Please forgive my Paul Smith fashion watch, it’s not the best but it was a gift and actually got me into watches so it’s staying 😄)

I use this 8-watch winder/display that I got on Amazon. It was a bit pricey (about $200) but is pretty decent build quality, and the motors are quiet (I have it in my bedroom) and have been going strong for a couple of years. Other reviews seem to indicate they're reliable. (I think if you spend much less on an 8-watch winder, it probably won't last very long since they would use very cheap motors.)

I also got this box on Amazon recently. It looks really nice and has soft pillows to hold the watches.

I have some of my lower-end watches in this box, which I got 7 years ago.

Besides that, I have some Mirage watch cases which are of nice quality and great for traveling with a few watches.

I made my own boxes. Fun to do and think about how it works.

I sent my own design to someone on Etsy, but it was a horrible experience, with endless delays, terrible communication and several vital design elements completely changed with no consultation. On top of all that, the workmanship was so bad I had to completely re-do the inside box elements myself (all the linings, cushions and dividers). Still, the final result is not too bad, though not what I wanted...

Made one mostly from USA plywood, cherry. Lattice and box lined with self adhesive felt. Non display. I just open it to look at them.

The thing in life people most under value is time. Yes, cost of wood these days certainly is a factor, but by the time one designs, plans, buys the supplies and tools, they are already in the hole vs. buying something off the shelf, and that is before factoring in time to build it. Now, do not get me wrong, it is hard to quantify sense of self accomplishment, but…time has a price.

For example, this box on amazon is $33. I have no idea if it is a good box, or crap one, but I can tell by looking at the photo, that there is no way in the world I could build that box for $33. Hell, I could not build that box for $330 if I factored time. So buy, the best box you can for the price you are willing to spend.

As for me, I use boxes that are well made, mirror the level of the watches they store, and are easy to store in a safe.

·

I have 3 cheap boxes from amazon that i saw using... but then I got this wolf box for like $200 from Jomashop and it's great. much more room in between watches to give them space..

I think i want to upgrade to a Rapport London Labyrinth... I think the light tan is a great color... its just a crazy price

Thanks, i find the GShock space use comparison very useful and it is what im looking for in the finer details.

Have owned so many, it is embarrassing. Currently a double stack 12 off Amazon and two heavily padded zipper cases for ten each for the safe.

Glenor brand for the display case, Timely Buys for the zipper safe cases.

·

I have 7 watch winders from Barrington and they carry the bulk of the collection. Rest are kept in a leather watch roll to protect from scratches & dinks

It's a tough job to maintain them well

Hello there.

Had a look for this based on your description but I don't think I have found it. If convenient are you able to forward a link or picture?

Thank you if you have time.

I have this cheap six slot box that my Swatch watches live in. The Farer and the Garmin are there just to see how it looks when full.

Then I have this leather three watch roll.
