Can you imagine the chaos if a MoonSwatch snoopy edition gets dropped?
Would people have learned their lessons from last time and not pay the scalpers prices?ย
Or would we all be queuing over night again?

Yep. Especially if they were built a bit better than the first lot.
Use a 3D printer and build your own. Way cheaper lol

Why Ali Express haven't decided to start making Snoopy's I don't know!
Oh no! Even more rubbish than the first versions! Sorry I'm not a fan of either line!
Dammit, donโt make me want to care about a MoonSwatch release. Would not put it past them to release all of the previous Snoopys on plastic, I mean bio-ceramic.
Hey - if it brings more people to the joys of watch collecting and adds more members to our community than it can't be a bad thing.
I don't hate the MoonSwatch, just wasn't going to go out of my way to buy one and join in on the hype. I don't do long lines and I don't do paying a premium over list - so no MoonSwatches in the collection yet.
I thought an earlier thread on MoonSwatching the Seamaster was a great idea. MoonSwatching the Snoopy is also an excellent idea.ย
More toys for everyone!
Anyone who hates the MoonSwatch is like the Burgermesiter Meisterburger...
As a business, I'd do it.ย
And because I've already made my peace with it, I will not care if anyone wants one
Ok then let's make a Snoopy moonswatch! Where do I stand in line?! ๐คฃ

If they learned lessons from last time and improved the quality, I have to say I'd probably be there with everyone else...
I don't mind the MoonSwatch and would probably buy one if there was a store nearby, but my days of queueing up with the frenzied crew are long gone. Unless they change their tune and sell them online I can't see one of these in my future.
My main problem with the MoonSwatch (beside the launch farce) is that with the different higher placement of the registers it looks like like a Speedmaster that was kicked in the balls.
I'm really not sure if even Snoopy can fix this.
It's a watch, Love it or Leave it. However I've always associated Snoopy with Timex. Stay in your lane Omega! ย Beside, I'm Holding out for the Calvin & Hobbes
It makes perfect sense.
We are like Charlie Brown and the footballโฆ

Well Snoopy did voluntarily get neutered to show support for ASPCA's spay & neuter your pet program.
What will they call it?
Mission to Woodstock?

I hope they have havenโt learnt their lesson last time!
The lesson they learnt was they could sell on โhypeโ and people will buy it - no matter how difficult you make it in obtaining one. On the plus side, as with all brands - the introduction of their latest โshiny thingโ means their old โshiny thingโ becomes available, so we may see the original MoonSwatches appear in more outlets/online to people who want one. Just pure conjecture on my part of course
Well Iโll be the grumpy oneโฆ itโs probably not something I like the sound of. I am mostly unaffected by the MoonSwatch - itโs not something I particularly desire, and for the money I can get at least 2-3 watches that satisfy my modus operandi. I am not the desired market either. The fact is Iโm not massively enamoured with the Speedy, I am an Omega fan, but not a zealot, and I think that Swatchโs are just disposable trash. A combination of a classic model I care little for (tried to buy 5 times, couldnโt commit), and the lower-end of cheap, is not going to set my world on fire. The Swatch Group did everything they could to make this desirable, and by manipulating exclusivity, created the โflash in the panโ that was the 2022 MoonSwatch. The simple fact that most people above are saying โif only it was made betterโ says it all. Iโve tried one on, itโs not comfy, the strap is poor, and for ยฃ250, just no. I could possibly get a battered early 90s Tag 1500 for that, and it would have better mileage than the MoonSwatch, and just as much notoriety if that is what you wish to court. I appreciate this will be unpopular as a response, but this has been my view from day -1, when it was announced.ย
I thought about buying a Moon Swatch for a brief second but the hype turned me off and I couldn't get one anyway unless I paid what a real Omega would cost. ย Now I see this and as a collector of Timex and Snoopy items, I will not be able to resist this. ย Ohhh, I'm such a lemming.

Cool, this one I might pop for!
Well Snoopy did voluntarily get neutered to show support for ASPCA's spay & neuter your pet program.
I'm trying to wrap my mind around this and sadly what I got is something I'll never be able to unsee.
I can totally imagine a Snoopy MoonSwatch, and hope they don't wait until the MoonSwatch 50th Anniversary to make it happen!
Just to say (as though speaking to Omega):
Give me a Quartz Swatch Seamaster, in transparent Acrylic (Basically, the Sekonda Partytime โ go look it up, theyโre cool disposable/kids watches that look way better than you think โ but not a Submariner) for about eighty or ninety quid, and I am there. Plastic wave dial, stick an LED light in if you like and whack that 007 on it.
But remember โ youโre not selling a luxury item. It shouldnโt really be triple figures unless thereโs some metal in there, respect your customers. If I am buying a Sekonda or Accurist level watch, I will pay Sekonda or Accurist prices. If itโs Swatch level, great, Swatch prices โ but even those are a little inflated.ย
ย
Youโre gonna sell a ton, make plenty, sell them online. People will buy them and stick them under the tree for their kids. Theyโre gonna give them to mates maybe. Theyโre gonna buy a bunch and wear them on stag dos, on holidays. Youโre gonna make your money.
Donโt sell me a kinder egg toy Quartz at the price of an entry level auto. Donโt sell me something than even Liz Truss can laugh at for longevity, and call it an item of desire. Donโt go through that embarrassment of having your quick-buck making arse hanging out all over YouTube with stained wrists and broken pushers, scratched to heck bezels and stiff straps.ย
ย
We love the look, we love the idea, but manโฆย
For those who are new to watches and don't mind the chaos of 'drops'? ย for those who need an itch scratched for a snoopy speedy that they will never afford? ย I'm sure they will sell out and it'll be crazy, but for me it's a definitive
Funny, I was thinking the same thing after I saw the recent news reports here in NYC about the frenzy for the last release.
Not for me, but for those who partake, have a blast. I'd prefer to have the original Omega versions of all these watches, but I guess that's just me.
Lost me at plastic...
