I'm with the Fogster. I don't need constant affirmation of my tastes or even my knowledge - with the passage of time comes the realization that it really doesn't matter what other people think. You wear what you wear to please yourself; you gain knowledge to make informed buying decisions. Seriously - why would it matter what people with made-up screen names think? Years of wasting precious time on watch forums teaches some really valuable lessons. And any hobby has a selective (meaning small) fan base in contrast with the population at large. A lot of people own Rolls Royces and Teslas and don't have the slightest concept of how they run. I say go over to your collection, smile quietly to yourself, and thank the heavens you're of the means to take part in a hobby you enjoy. Don't forget to have fun.
That watch seems in good shape! The box...well...I don't think I should express what I think - other than to say that the few people I know that do box restorations would expect in payment far, far more than the actual watch is worth - and the restored box would have no value whatsoever to watch collectors (most don't like things to be altered from the original product). Good luck, though!
