Pick one and why

Love my father-in-law’s Explorer II

These two pieces are similar but oh so different!

I would choose the Explorer II...  so that I could then sell it on Chrono24 for ~$11,500.  And then I would take that $11,500 and buy the SBGN003 for ~$2,300 on Chrono24.  And, then, with the leftover $9,200, I'd also pick up the SLGA013 off Chrono24.

Easy-peasy!

Absolutely brilliant, I’m with you!

Can’t argue with that! Would make a great one watch collection.

·

EXII. I like @HotWatchChick69’s logic, but I would have a hard time selling the EXII, but could not fault anyone for doing so and picking up a great 2-3 watch collection, especially if it starts with the 003.

I like the pop of color of the red gmt hand on the GS, but the lume might clinch it for me. If I am buying one, I would never buy the Rolex, way too far out of my budget and would opt for the Seiko. Honestly though I guess I am pretty unlikely to go for either as a gmt is not really a complication I need/value. Maybe a SBGE253 for the spring drive though.

This one is an easy win for the Explorer 2. Even better if it's a polar. As much as I love and respect GS for what they do, I am still not sold on their sports watches.

·

explorer 2, im not into gmt gs lol

·

Neither…preferred mine…

But *whispers* I’ll take the ROwlecks … 😉

·

I do prefer GS to Rolex, but want to put my vote in the middle. I think mine looks like a merger of the two!

That's nice... I'll take one please

Explorer as well, Im a sucker for the white dial version. Something about no-bezel GMTs just makes the watch face too big for me. Both great pieces though.

·

Based only on those two models, I’d also go for the Explorer. I like Grand Seiko, but I’ve always been more attracted to their unique dials.

·

Explorer hands down

·

I’ve never liked a cyclops over the date display. If not for that I might have gone with the Explorer but that’s making me lean to the GS.

You forgot the Cheetos!

·

The GS if you want the black dial. Imo, the Explorer II is polar dial only.

The Explorer I's black dial however... hehe

You forgot the Cheetos!

Eh, my rotundity has reached such gargantuan proportions that I have sworn off all Lays products moving forward.

·

I'm going GS. I own a white dial Explorer II and LOVE it. IMO the Explorer II looks awesome with the white dial. Black, not so much. The

GS is awesome

·

Explorer- fits right on your wrist. GS is too big, honestly.

·

The GS because this summer during my vacation in Greece, everywhere I look I see either either Rolex or fashion watches. It's so refreshing to see something different.

·

Grand seiko has my vote

The Explorer 2, all day everyday.
