Cartiers! Which one?

Which style do you prefer? ๐Ÿ˜Ž

My brain says Santos. ย My heart says Basculante. ย My wallet cries for mercy.

ยท

The smaller one and the one without exposed fasteners.

ยท

Basculante.ย

But I'm bias because I made that choice a couple years ago now haha.ย

Definitely Santos for me. But I would actually rather have this one...

I donโ€™t like conflicts so I say I love both ๐Ÿ˜‰

I guess you could say my sense of style is broken

The Santos speaks to me on a personal level, but the tank shape is so classic. I say the same thing I always say about expensive (to me) watches. I go with the more classic one because I donโ€™t know if Iโ€™ll have the chance to buy a second. This is why I got the hesalite Speedy. The sapphire sandwich looks the business and suits my penchant for smacking Crystals on stuff, but I had to go with the OG Moonwatch. If I get a second go, Iโ€™ll add a SS or one of the other great versions, but in case I only ever have one I went old school.ย
ย

As always, buy/wear what you love.ย

ยท

For myself the santos but man the basculante is just cool.

ยท

The Santos! :)

ยท

For me, the Basculante - but Iโ€™d actually like both :)

ยท

Santos for me.ย

ยท

Santos.

Your sense of style is just fine. ย The Crash is epic and highly sought after. ย

ยท

Basculante for me.ย

ยท

I generally prefer the Santos over the Tank, but the Basculante takes the Tank to another level. I've started to love Cartier and currently have a modern Santos de Cartier (black dial SS with ADLC bezel) ย and an older Pasha. I'd love to add a Tank to the collection, and if I could find the right deal on a Basculante, I'd jump on it.

100% the Santos for me. It has a sporty/dressy vibe that I think would work well on multiple straps and in multiple situations.ย

Itโ€™s true! I always say itโ€™s the classier version of the aqua terra

They are both wonderful. ย You likely just need to follow your heart.ย

Love both but for me it's the Santos, medium. You just can't go wrong ๐Ÿ‘

Medium IS the size to wear - for most wrists!ย

Iโ€™m going to sound like a broken record here, but I have to say the Santos as well. Both are classy, no doubt. I tend to shy away from popular watches but the Santos is by far my favorite dress watch. Can be dressed up, dressed down, polished, and even scratched to hell and it will always look the part.ย

Dressy AND sporty like the alpinist

now that you mention it, i remember what is it like, frieza!!

Both are eye-magnets but the Basculante and the story behind its design and its relationship to the JLC Reverso takes the cake for me. It's the more interesting watch IMO.

Yes, once I got the Reverso, I got naturally drawn to the basculante.ย

ยท

Iโ€™d stick to a Reverso for the flip functionality and Iโ€™d buy a Santos. I live the history of the Santos.ย

ยท

Not a big fan of the Basculante. Santos all the way!
