Selling decisions

Im looking to get my collection down to 2 or 3 watches. I have a hard time parting with sone of them so I thought I’ll just start with 2.

I’ve got an idea about which 2 to keep but I’m curious about your suggestions!

Alpinist, Traska and the Casio.

The Alpinist for its versitility and the beefed up specs.

The Traska for the GMT, useful function if you use GMT often.

Casio since its the watch with the most complications 😅

·

Personally speaking, I’d keep the Alpinist and Traska. 🤌

·

Keep the top row. No point in selling the little Casio so might as well keep it around. Sternglas and Alpinist cover an awful lot of territory.

·

Keep Alpinist and Casio, sell the rest

·

Keep the Casio (God tier), Traska GMT and the Chinese Chronograph. Everyone should own a mechanical chronograph. Thanks to the ST19, everyone can.

·

Agree!

·

What is the bottom right chrono? Also imo you should keep the watches you have most emotional bond with.

·

I have the cream dial version of that Sugess chronograph and I keep Allllmost selling it and then changing my mind. I think that means it must be a keeper.

·

Here’s an idea that may or may not resonate. Think about who you might want to give watches to and who would be the best “fit” and appreciate them the most.

Also - two Seikos and two diver bezels. So maybe thin down that way.

Cheers, Steve

I'd keep the right most watches from top and bottom row

That’s my thought. These are nice budget watches. But the only problem with budget watches is that there is no value retention. In my opinion I’d keep them as long as they ran properly because there’s no trade value.

Sternglass, Sugess and (Alpinist or Traska) dependant on whether you feel the need for a GMT. I just think that covers more bases.

Done. But I would put the Seiko on a bracelet and the Traska on a strap. But that’s just me.

It’s a suguss chrono with a ST19 movement. About the emotional bond it’s very hard for me to determine that at the moment 😅

Yeah the reason they are on the straps they are is because I’m not a big bracelet guy so i took it of the seiko. The Traska bracelet is actually so incredible it kind of changed my mind.

The two Seikos and the traska is what I would keep. I wouldn’t even count the Casio in with your other watches because it has to stay no matter what.

·

hell of a rotation - I need a few of those
