I'm super delighted for you. It's such an amazing watch.

I was just on a work trip and spoke with an AD for Rolex in Seattle. We were told they get between 20-40 Daytonas a year and have 400+ people on their waiting list. He suggested that getting a Rolex was different than other watches, but we didn't ask for details. Now I wish we had asked to see how it "really" works.

Regardless, we moved on to look at some Tudors!

Cheers and congrats! Steve

Let’s see what I can recall. Feel free to correct me if someone that knows more has additional details. This exact timepiece was serial number 1 which they send around the world as an example. If someone actually wants to buy one it’s customized and made for that buyer. There is a chronometer with a digital accumulator on the left side. There is a moon-phase complication on the right. And the tourbillion is meant to negate time variance caused by gravity. That’s why it rotates in multiple axis. List price was somewhere north of $500k. The salesman that showed it to us had to go to Switzerland to get permission to bring it back and he has two possible buyers to check it out. It was stored in a suspended travel case. Really interesting - like seeing a Ferrari or Maserati or McLaren. That’s about all I can recall!! Cheers, Steve

Hey - that looks cool. I have been looking at the “heritage “ models but I didn’t know they made one with a date! About when did that come out and do you happen to know the reference number? Cheers, Steve

Of those watches I got to handle the gold moon watch at Watchtime in Seattle. It's simply amazing. I don't have any interest in precious metal watches but that one is fantastic!

This is kind of a crazy story. Can we get you and your buddy on an interview with Max? something like watches of the Delta-adjacent-attorney-tech-bros?

Cheers, Steve

Could you elaborate on buying Sinn in the US? I was just starting to get interested in the 556 and didn’t realize that locating one might be a challenge? Cheers, Steve

WOW! Having the moon lit up that is really neat! Thanks for showing that! Steve.

I learned the other day that Ball has tritium tubes instead of lime. They are pretty cool! Cheers, Steve.
