More to @raytwyce ’s question, I’ll post a lengthy story about an unexpected addition in the next month or so. (I’m trying to follow the Zach Kazan of W&W formula of “secretly” owning a watch for a bit without social media influence/reward.)
I agree with others saying Big Crown Pros aren’t on here much but I really DO like them. How did this one end up unexpected in your collection?

I have always been curious about the Propilot with the grey dial but the L2L was a deterrent for my smaller wrist. I found one for sale in the forums for a fantastic price and worn very little, an impulse purchase. It’s the most legible watch I’ve ever owned, the sunburst grey dial is sublime, it’s a thin watch with aggressive turned down lugs that go past the often bulbous casebacks of some watches. It seats firmly on the wrist and just feels right. It’s a 2019 model so it‘s the last of the painted dials as the newer ones have raised applied numerals. It also sports the older push button bracelet clasp. I have no issues reaching for it out of my small collection. Build quality and finish is consistent throughout the watch. The only knock is the lume but whatever. Damn, I didn’t realize this would be a mini review. But hey, now you know!
What's a "curated collection" and why is it different from any other collection?
Perhaps it’s no different than any other collection, it’s just that I keep to a core 6 watch. Based on; dial color, case size, diver, pilot, field, all in an attempt for a diverse collection in a small footprint.
Here's my awesome twosome. If I had to bring my collection down to its final two pieces, these would be it. They're even together in their own case. Not very original, I admit, but the classics never look bad.

You don't see many Pro Pilots on here. And I'm really not sure why.

Yeah. Not as popular as the Pointer date or Diver 65.
Strong couple! That Milgauss is 🔥
Love a Milgauss GV. Are you just showing us a sexy watch or was this an unexpected pick up?

as per the thread title, pick two. I’m assuming it meant from current collection

Honestly my fav Rollie. They’re not overhyped, easy to find in good shape, and just quirky enough.
If I could only pick two?

Indeed it was intended for two watches from one’s current stable.
If I could only pick two?
If those were in my watchbox, it would be difficult. Thanks for sharing!
My Terrific Twosome would be my Glycine Airman and my Citizen Eco-Drive Darth Vader
Glycine looks like the Death ⭐️ Thanks for sharing!

I almost went with this instead of the Seamaster, but in the end, I would choose two different brands.
While I think I would pick another Pilot's watch I think this is a good match for Air and Sea.

They are great, love mine.
Though not in my collection, I bought my wife a cotton candy hi beat dress watch from Mark at Long Island watch's and I really like it alot.
So much so I just ordered one of their diver style watches for my self.

Digging that pair: The cotton candy dial helps to soften up that Sinn. 👏

Great pair. I’ve never tried an Alpina but like the Propilot, I’ve wanted to. Thanks for sharing!

Milgauss is so sweet.
I guess the two above for now, one that does everything and one that just looks pretty 😂
It‘s always the pretty ones that get you in trouble 🤣 Thanks for sharing!
If id have to keep them forever I don’t think I have the two yet but out of my watches it would be these two
The baby Alpinist looks Awesome and can do it all. love it
This one has the ST19 movement which looks awesome. The watch itself could also be dressed up if needed.
I’ll probably pick my Oris BCPD and my Ginza Alpinist… Indeed I wear these two the most 😎

I like your awesome twosome. Solid picks and fits a common theme.
