I've been there. Followed my head, regretted it months later, went back and followed my heart, ended up with less freedom than if I'd just followed my heart in the first place.
Assuming you can responsibly purchase any of the two, just bite the bullet and buy the Aqua Terra. We all know it's the one you really want :)
I don't think there are any watches in the same price range for which I would trade my Speedy (1861). Aside from being a Speedmaster and having iconic status and all the mythology around it, I think it's objectively great value for money.
Just tried one today at the store. I have very thin wrists, so, even at 39 mm, I thought it was a bit too big for me. Left me with really mixed feelings - on the one hand I was disappointed that it didn't look that great on my wrist, on the other hand I was happy for my bank account.
