First Rolex
After waiting for 2 years I finally got my first Rolex watch! I always dreamed of getting one as a child but never actually thought I’d be able to get in a position to afford one! Im still riding the high but honestly my stomach still kinda hurts after swiping my card! 😅

Congratulations on a beautiful watch! This was the same exact model that was my first Rolex.
Great first Rolex! It feels good to be able to mark your success with a great watch. Looks amazing and you wear it well! You’ve earned it and now you just have to try and drive without staring at your wrist, that’s dangerous😁

It's ah thing. I purchased my first Rolex on layaway in high-school. In fact, it's the same model in the pic on this post. The tech specs are different but the look is the same. I had a Rolex and a Ferrari pic on my wall as a kid . I learned a lot early on. Don't buy luxury items you can't afford to pay cash for. I found out that was a Veblen Purchase later in life but the rule still applies
This is the Rolex to get IMO, in fact, the blue dial DJ with fluted bezel (36mm) is my only Rolex and the only one I ever wanted. And that stomach ache does away....eventually.

mhm I grew up with a little bit less than some folks. Growing up I always heard my cousins listening to nas and his line “went from seiko to Rolex” always stuck with me.

Absolutely! I grew up from fairly humble beginnings and listening to a lot of hip hop and rap! Hearing artists mention Rolex always made me want one! On top of that being a huge tennis geek and watching Federer in his prime growing up definitely made me have an itch for a Rolex!

I had the same sentiments when I got mine. 5 years ago I could only dream of buying one and never really anticipated it happening. It’s quite humbling to think about and I’m trying my best not to get caught up in lifestyle inflation.
