Tudors are excellent. I have owned a black bay and it was 1 second a day fast.

Ah. The Rolex-Crash, like it.

Rotation Anxiety is that feeling I sometimes get when I am wearing a watch and in the back of my mind I wish I was wearing another watch or watches in my collection and am, never actually sure I should be wearing that particular watch. In the past once I get to a certain number of watches I tend to stress out about it. So little time, too many watches.

Wrong. Nato's are fabulous. Their intended use is correct, if there happens to be a spring bar failure then your watch will stay attached. Its a redundancy mechanism.

Probably the reason you dont see many in the military is because of the prevalence of G-Shocks (which I collect and love). But, in the 20th century before the invention of the Casio and excellent rubber options, a lot of army people would have chosen them over other options.

In a hot climate, a nato dries quickly when wet, is highly adjustable, you will never lose your watch if a spring bar fails etc. Its a decent option.

Of course if you dont like them thats cool, but for me, they are a must have for some field watches. I love my bracelets, leather and rubber straps. But, what else can you put on field watch and make it feel authentic?

Do you ever get rotation anxiety? I thought I have a few watches, but you have more for sure. I like the salvadore dali melted one, whatever it is. Cool collection.

commented on How much is this hobby? ·

The question is one of financial infidelity.

Your wife will never accept it, fully. But, if she believes that you are totally into it she will give you some breathing room. Once you have quite a few watches she wont actually know what is going on or care how many watches you have.

Dont try and get her into the hobby, wont work. Also, dont ask her how she feels abot your newwatch, she will let you know exactly by how she looks at you.

My advice, tell her you want to have a collection / hobby and justify it by saying I am going to spend £??? a month, every month. All hobbies cost money and you only get one life. If you are delivering on everything else fight your corner, thats how she wil know you are serious. After all, how much does her hair or nails cost? etc. Then buy some affordable pieces and start flipping.

After 10 years of this, a package arrives and she gives me a look but says nothing. Cool.
