New Seiko Speedtimer problem

Hi guys, my seiko speedtimer arrived and i got problem. The bracelet wears too lose or too tight in my personal preference. It unluckily dont have micro adjustement to fit my wrist.

Should i return it or should i pay 120€ for a strapcode bracelet? What do you mean?

What’s the lug width ?

If it’s 20 or 22, you will have plenty of choices.

If it’s 19 or 21, I would return it.

Lose some weight? Or gain some? Nice watch, by the way.

·

You can check a 3th party bracelet and sell (or keep) the original one.

PS: gorgeous watch 👍🏼

·

All watches are better on straps. Put the bracelet in a draw and enjoy the watch in comfort.

Its 20mm lug width

1,5 kilo makes a difference on my wrist. After Christmas I tend wear my looser bracelet watches and when I will bounce back, I will be wearing my spot on ones. If I was extremely stable on my weight, I would have chosen to return it.

If you love the watch, change the bracelet. I don’t like bracelets anyway so all my watches have different bands!

Keep it really nice my friend 👌 best brand on the planet too 🫡

Change the clasp? To something with some more/finer micro adjust?

Great idea i think

I bought a 3rd party beads of rice bracelet and sail cloth strap for my Speedtimer- as I am not a fan of pin and collar bracelets. I bought the bracelet from Uncle Straps and an array of brands offer great straps that would pair with the Speedtimer.

·

Really nice watch, though Seiko should improve their bracelets, really. I think you got good advice from the community already. Congrats with the new watch!

Uncle Straps has half links for this. Might be an affordable option to find the fit

I’ve posted several times on this watch if you check my history. I own it and enjoy it. Functionally, as a chrono, I think it’s lacking. But as jewelry it’s awesome. I own two straps and two bracelets and am ordering a yellow rubber strap for summer. It’s incredibly versatile. I bought the Jubilee bracelet from Strapcode and vastly prefer it over the stock bracelet. My verdict: if you really intend on using the chronograph functionality, sell it. But if you want a fun watch to play around with get the Strapcode bracelet and begin your journey.

I’d say that true for Winter, but for Summer I prefer bracelets.

·

I've always preferred mine on a strap; problem solved, but realise it's a very personal choice

·

I think oncle seiko produce a replacment clasp with 3 microadjustment holes. This will BE much cheaper as an new strap.

·

I wear mine on a strap.

I have this watch myself. Im toying with the idea to buy a rally strap for this it. Would fit the watch well.

·

You could probably get away with just an aftermarket clasp from AliExpress.

·

I really like mine, I don't like the bracelet but I don't like any Seiko straps or bracelets. I'll change it ASAP.

Uncle Seiko sells a replacement clasp for these with an extra microadjust hole. It's $10.

Try this first

Edit: they were $10, now they're $12, sorry. Still the easiest and cheapest option.

ouch. Still worth it!! Throw it on a strap until then (I have mine on a black racing strap I bought on aliexpress)

·

This is a common issue with this watch. Uncle Straps sells a micro adjust clasp you can use but I just threw mine on a leather strap

Check out the half link and clasp option here. Either of these should hopefully solve your problem.

Wear it lower down your wrist?

I personally find that more comfortable.

I know wearing it above the bone is the “right” way to wear a watch, but I find that too bothersome as it eventually slides all the way down throughout the day even tho it’s snug when I put it on.

·

I will say, wear it a bit loose, you’ll get used to it in 1 week. Enjoy it and don’t overthink, you’ll forget about it very soon.

Uncle Seiko sells claps for the Speedtimer to fix this issue.
