What is the absolute least you could settle for?

If push came to shove.. If every penny counted and you had to put your money AND watches to use to stay afloat. But you could afford to keep/buy one affordable piece..

What is the cheapest single watch you could settle for?

Mine? A used "gold" Classic Casio would cost/lose me less than 50$. It's a nice size, versitile, durable, functional and respectable brand and heritage. I could be do just fine with this piece. Other options could be a cheaper used Orient, Citizen or Seiko 5.

All my watches are cheap, but I got better deals on some than others and would be able to turn a bigger "profit" selling them. I'd probably keep my Casio Duro or my Victorinox ST1000 since I'd probably get less than $50 for either of them.

The Duro gets lots of respect, is very durable, and I like timing bezels 👍

The Victorinox is Swiss Made, has decent lume, and was already my only watch for a decade or so in the 2000's 👍

My iPhone and no watch. I could do that. Not that I’d want to…

·

I always say Timex Easy Reader, white dial. Almost any white dialed round three-hander is enough to be practical. Plus you get day, date, and friggin Indiglo. Digitals aren't formal enough for me, and same with plastic stuff like the Casio MW-24-7B2.

·

The G-Shock GW-M5610U-1ER (Solar & Multiband Square) does tick every single box for me, I do have one and it covers everything I actually need!

·

Me? The casio tough solar is more than enough. But applewatch is very useful as well so I would still prefer that over anything else, luxury or non-luxury

·

I'd maybe get a black CasiOak (mine is red). It can whitstand anything, it's sporty and yet is understated enough to wear in a "dressier" situation.

·

I like my Mako ii - more versatile than my yellow G-SHOCK 😆

·

If it came down that every penny, I wouldn't be wearing a watch. Even a cheap Casio is about th cost of two or three low cost meals.

Yes, but the game here was is you that still could afford to have something very cheap.

Is the Apple Watch cheap?

True, but if you still could afford one cheap piece?

These does only come in 40mm yet? Or else the gilt one would be my choice 👌

i would just use a $2.00 Ali quartz if I had too. Just the time and nothing to worry about losing or breaking.

Good priorities 😊 Good thing it's just a fictional senario 🙏

·

It's very similar to the BB36 and I have some thought I would have been just as happy with this. I would prefer it a bit smaller 🤔 It even got the date I miss 😅

·

I could, and probably would, go without a watch in that sort of situation.

The 36mm dressKX variants probably will be released soon 😜

I'm going to buy a dressKX again to fill the BB36 void. I didn't like the new variants when I saw them in person. Tudor pushed these models into borderline Datejust homage with the sunburst dials and jubilee bracelet. Also, there are variants with diamond makers on the dial, Tudor really went in different directions with the new models plus unecessarily expensive. Priced the same as BB58 but with the specs of Ranger which is $1000 cheaper.

·

I think I’d be happy with my feuxtina explorer that I put together from eBay. NH38 movement and would pair with any outfit. It’s the only watch I need. It cost me around $90 before tax. $110 with the bracelet.

I like the new one too, but a bit too dressy for everyday and I feel more relaxed having a ETA-movent in my "fancy" watch for several reasons.

The first gen BB36 has a more sporty and masculine expression and I like that. I also prefer the bigger crown with the tube and the bigger snowflakes 😊

But like I said. I think I still would be a happy man with a DressKX in 36-38😊

Very true, the newer model has more slimmed down lugs, slimmer hands and smaller hour markers. The whole tool watch feel has gone from the watch. I'm waiting to see if Tudor releases a new Pelagos 39 in blue or I'm going to look for a used BB36.

The dressKX is one of the perfect watches to have.

If they dropped a LHD in 39mm with the cream lume, roulette date and all, my plan to stay faithful to the BB36 would be in serious trouble 😅

Casio yes but a Edifice at £54 bit more dressy/sporty with 100m waterproof
