This is my dream watch in many aspects. Perhaps my favorite ever. It's near perfect except for it's thickness and the fact that it's not a super versitile watch.
I don't have to sell, but I probably should. As life gets more expensive and and I know of upcoming expenses that I would rather not pull from my savings...
I'm looking at getting back about half of what I payed for it and that really hurts. But I guess I just gonna cut my losses and move on?
I also need to get my BB36 serviced soon and need to replenish my fund before that happens. I think I have come to the conclusion that I probably shouldn't own more than one "expensive" for the time being at least. I'm just a working man and times are getting rougher even though it's faaaaar from unmanageble (yet ๐ ).
Such is life? Or should I rather save in on other spending if possible?

We do what we can, and I think that is one reason why we get watches. We can both enjoy it, and let go and get some cash back. I would say prioritise what is important to you and your family bro. We don't need many watches to be happy
Watches arenโt everythingโฆ sadly even the ones that hold sentimentality can be sacrificed. Hopefully better times are ahead, and youโll find the means to recover it some day. Good luck! ๐
Itโd be a shame to lose a watch you love so much, especially at a loss. Is it not a false economy to let it go?

True. I only got 3 left if I sell, but my goal actually is one main and one versitile backup that can take a beating ๐ So maybe it's ment to be.

Yeah... But it would be easier if I had to, but that's not the case. Luckily!! I'm not suffering. So this is just minor annoyance ๐ Thanks

They say watches we keep tell a story, but I feel in your case. Even watches you let go will tell a story too. All the best bro

No worries.. I have bought and sold about 40 watches by now. One more doesn't really matter ๐

Not really. As long as I don't spend the money on another losing project ๐
Prefer that to the Black Bay!

The Synchron is more interesting for sure, but not as versitile. And I want to use my expensive watch for everything (almost) if I'm only keeping one ๐
If money is tight, I would look to sell the black bay over that. Not sure that has any real value on the secondary market. So youโd lose your dream watch for pennies on the dollar

The BB36 is my dream watch too ๐คช And that's what I wear most of the time. Money isn't very tight.

Yeah. Great watch. But thatโs your value watch. Unfortunately this one is going to be hard to sell for any reasonable price unless you find the exact buyer looking for that watch at the price you want to sell it for. Much better market for the Tudor
As already mentioned , sell the Tudor and recover a greater % back of funds back.
Donโt sell it. Move stuff about and cut back elsewhere if possible if you love it that much. I regret selling all of mine.

True. But that is my stable piece.

I'll be fine ๐ Have you sold your watches recently?
Sorry to hear. Given the need for funds, unfortunately youโll have to move something on. If itโs your dream watch, perhaps sell the others first.
After stabilizing finances after a couple of weeks/months/years, perhaps take a break from watches and just enjoy what you have for a while. If something comes up, maybe do a buy-one-sell-one kind of thing so the draw on finances are minimal.
Good luck ๐

No was a few years back. The memories. The pain. The regrets ๐
Okay, this is sad. Lemme give you a hug. ๐ซ
