Technically not all. I have seen some pieces that are sub 40mm yet lug to lug is close 50mm. All boils down to case design. Some IWC’s are like that.
It’s on a league of its own. If someone wants a flashy, shiny, 3D looking dial, then the Explorer 39 os what they need.
