I've seen people hating on it but never understood the hate
It's a fine, brushed (as opposed to polished) explorer alternative.
What's there to dislike
A piece that really needs to be seen in the flesh rather than hearing other peopleโs take on it. With its specs, heritage and price, I think it one of the best.
I like everything a lot except the font for the numerals. It even escapes my usual issue with Tudor, the hour hand shape. With a different font, it'd be on my list of four or five watches I'd like to buy some day.
Iโm a big sucker for capital arabic numerals, as we speak Iโm considering adding Railmaster to my Ranger. I love them all, canโt help it. The only reason I didnโt pull the trigger yet is Iโm worried that with watches so similar in intended use I might end up wearing only one of them.
I agree with you on this being the most hated and criticized watches. I haven't gotten a chance to see one in the metal but based on the photos online and YouTube reviews I've seen, I think I'd really like the watch. Cheers & wear it in good health
Only under direct UV light from a flashlight you can see the difference- hands glow with a blue-ish tint where all lume on the dial is green. When youโre actually wearing and using the watch - everything is lumed with the same, green color.
Hey Andrzej, interesting look, I guess they did it to make the hands more distinguishable. Thanks for taking photos my friend, I appreciate you sharing more info. Itโs a beautiful watch, I hope you enjoy it!

Itโs definitely something that needs to be seen in the flesh.

Yes, given the Explorer I had the same thought and was the intention to be easier to sell the Rolex, but now I feel they are very different creatures. While the Ranger is a true sturdy adventure and exploring watch, the Explorer is more a luxurious homage to Ranger type watches that you can wear in more forman and elegant situations. Little overlap. I feel something similar would happen with the Omega.
I like the way the Ranger looks but Iโm also a fan of tool watches. I like the simplicity and how itโs symmetrical. I also like the Sinn 556 A though.
I think the ranger is superb. Just got a bb58 which - though lovely- doesnโt overshadow the ranger as I thought it might. Simple watch feels like a nice antidote to the complexity of all the tech and smart watchesโฆ

I just got mine on Monday and it hasnโt left the wrist since. I set the time around 7pm. Itโs Thursday 8:03pm. According to time.gov my Ranger is still exactly on time. Itโs my most accurate watch by far.

Congratulations! Itโs been on my regular rotation! Very versatile piece.

Honestly I find the Sub more boring. But each to their own ๐โ๏ธ

There is elegance in simplicity. No hate here, I'd wear it proudly.
I actually like the Tudor Ranger.

You need a simple watch to wear daily. I find beauty in simplicity โ๏ธ

I can't see how you could like a vintage Explorer and dislike a Ranger? ๐ค
I love Tudor...the Ranger for some reason doesn't do it for me...I'll have to get one on the wrist
Great pics!
I'd wear this over the explorer any day!
Once you wear it, it all makes sense. I find it to be comfortable and easy to adjust thanks to T-Fit.

Same thoughts until Ive tested one. Then again, all boils down to your liking ๐

Game changer! Then again, you canโt please everyone. ๐
Loving the Tfit!

In our garish, over-hyped, loud and obnoxious world, CLASSIC has come to be considered boring. But not by me. That has a classic appeal.

Boring AF! Which is why it's the only Tudor at the top of my Grail list... Let's be boring together ๐๐ผ โ

Very disappointed when it was launched. Went and bought an Explorer.
