The 4th Philippines-Limited Edition Seiko is the SRPK59 commemorating the famous Banaue Rice Terraces as depicted on its dial 💚🌾
Limited to 1,500 pcs and only sold in the Philippines. Seiko collaborated with an NGO to help preserve the World Heritage Site

Because it’s Limited and commemorative. Same as Zimbes, only sold in Thailand. Topper Le, sold only in the US. One, Alpinist was only available in EU. List goes on and on..

That’s just what they did…but that’s not the “why”. The question is “WHY do they think it makes economic sense to prevent people around the world from buying what looks cool to others”. It’s like leaving money on the table. Presumably they’re a publicly traded company with fiduciary responsibilities to their share holders 😂. Some marketing genius should be riffed 😂

Well, it’s not preventing really. I brought 6 to Canada 😂Have you seen how many LE’s Seiko has been producing? 1500 is just pixie dust to them. They give more spotlight on countries/places/people who draws attention to their brand. So regardless if it’s regionized, it’s still a selling pitch to them

I hate Seiko for their constant exclusivity game but I love their designs. This one is no exception. Does it come with two color matching straps in green and brown?

Fantastic looking edition and such a pity it's not available outside the Philippines! Considering the shipping and import taxes it will be just too expensive to import to the EU.

There is one in Bulacan. Where my partner is from. Don’t like the wooden watches. Am a bit afraid of ending up with another Seiko NH or a Miyota caliber.
