I have a dainty wrist. Just over 6.5”. I try not to buy anything over 43mm case size. Because my wrist is so small I just accept the fact that watches look big on me. I figured if I’m happy with it then I’m not going to care what other people think. Some of my watches do overhang my wrist a bit but I’ve decided to ignore that rule of thumb. :)
They don’t make this model anymore. The new models are manual wind and are rectangle. The old automatic movements are square like this.
42mm stainless steel case. I have just over 6.5” wrist. 42mm’s look big on me. This watch would look normal on a normal size wrist.
I agree that you’ll be fine with 44mm. I have smaller than 7” wrist and the biggest I’ll go is 44mm. In my opinion go with the bigger one. The general rule of thumb is the lugs should not overhang either side of your wrist which in the picture you’re good. I’ve personally broken that rule. At the end of the day you should wear the watch that you want and forget what others say. Plus it is fashionable in many parts of the world to wear XL watches. With that said 44mm isn’t really considered an XL watch. When you get into the 46+ size is when you are getting XL watches but who cares. Go with whatever makes you happy.
