Like it but, no A/R coating, lug to lug is far too long, there is no delineation of the 12'oclock marker so at night all the indicies look the same. Just to name a few.
I voted (B) just because I know itโs a great watch, but lables and brands aside, I got what it offers for way less and โin my personal opinionโ look way better. ADDIESDIVE MY-H2
I know itโs a #pilot watch but both are #militarywatches with close resemblance in terms look and feel and both serve the same purpose.
Not to mention that it keeps my time throu a #seiko NH35A movement โagain personally I love itโ.
IMO, itโs a great everyday watch but I think itโs wildly overpriced given the printed dial, basic case finishing, and mediocre movement. It feels like a watch that should be priced right between the Bulova Hack and Seiko 5 field watches which offer better specs, similar finishing, and automatic movements at about half the Khakiโs MSRP. Even the new Seiko 5 field watch with a GMT complication and a bracelet costs hundreds less than the cheapest hand-wound, time-only Khaki. The Hamiltons were a great deal in the past (in the 80s and 90s, these cost the 2024 equivalent of under $250) but itโs hard to justify them at $600 and over nowadays. All of that said, theyโre cheap enough pre-owned and actually look better with some dents and scratches, so for me, getting a slightly abused but mechanically sound one would be a definite win. They tend to sell for around $300 pre-owned which seems like a fair price for what it is.

I concur. With all the choices available for field watches I donโt really understand why Hamilton can demand such a premium. At that price point I start to expect more craftsmanship in dial details and finer case finishing than bead blasting.
I know theyโre fine watches. I just think there are certainly better value offerings. My $0.02.
I have the Khaki Field Titanium Automatic 42mm, thatโs the second watch I bought. Honestly, itโs such a dull watch that I wear it only around the house these days.
Thereโs nothing wrong in it, but also nothing that it makes it stand out and be picked in the morning.
I have this from an ebay purchase heavily discounted new old stock. I like the dial but it has poor lume and maybe a screw down crown would inspire more confidence. It is 100m stated depth rating though. I also like this shade of green. Very military. ๐
I have one. I voted B. I love its thinness and dial design but Iโm put off by the plain and uniform case finishing. The lugs have sharp corners like theyโve been broken off. Itโs a matter of expectations but it leaves a fair bit to be desired. I would prefer better water resistance as well.
These were both around $400 each. Both I believe have the 2801 movement, which is pretty robust and keeps excellent time. These are both 42mn cases. The one on the right has an oddball 21mm between the lugs.

I concur with this point totally. For what it offers, I think there are alternatives from Seiko or Orient or even San Martin which is at a fraction of the price. My 2 cents

CNS straps, graphic printed, Koi I think it's called.
Just sold my bronze one - liked it but felt a bit small on me!
I just bought one and I love it more than I expected. Itโs comfortable. Itโs simple. It works.
Don't own one but I've give it full marks, to me its as iconic as a Speedmaster or Submariner in its own way
Nothing but respect for it, but it's not my style.
Between B and C ,there's a big leap ๐

Great watch! I'm not a fan of the strap it comes on though. Looks great, just doesn't fit me great, so leather or fabric straps it is.
Itโs the best Hamilton imo

While I wish it had AR, that's the only flaw I can see. Whenever it's turn comes up, I'm delighted to have it on my wrist.
Crystal Times makes a double domed sapphire crystal with either blue or clear AR, $45. I put blue AR one on my auto and it solved the reflection issue
For me two important issues: lack of A/R coating and 50m WR.
Khaki field auto is great, but would be amazing if it had a good AR coating.
Here's my Officers model on a NATO strap.

I have the Automatic and itโs one of my favorites. The mechanical is similar

It can fog up just from humidity needs better gaskets ive heard

Got this one and the touch of orange make the little splash I needed to pull the trigger on one finally
I love the look. I just wish it had a screw down crown.
Itโs a great everyday watch but thatโs about it
I would just like to see true affordable alternatives to this. Itโs a niche product, if you think about it.
