Purchased a Hamilton in 2014, and a Tudor and Victorinox in 2024. Packaging is generic (not original) in some instances and shipping is not always immediate, but general experience was pretty good. In one instance where the watch didn't ship right away the customer service answered my query very promptly. There is a YouTube video explaining how retailers like Jomashop provide their timepieces at such a discount, and it is certainly worth watching to get some confidence in the business but also understand the limitations (as with all grey market providers).
Take a look at the Rado Over Pole as an interesting affordable alternative, especially if you like smaller dials.
Be happy you caught your true feelings about it before plonking down a few thousand. If you have a change of heart down the road it will always be available. During the pandemic I bought a lot of watches sight unseen, and let me tell you, pictures and videos can frequently paint a rosier picture than when viewed in person (of course the opposite is also true). On to the next watch! 👊
