Best warm-weather vacation watch?

I’ll soon be taking a trip to Central America and plan on bringing only one watch. Activities will likely include swimming (both on beaches and snorkeling off of boats), hiking in rainforests as well as volcanic mountain regions, and touring around cities. Although I expect my attire to be mostly casual/athletic, I know I will also have the occasional “nice” meal (collared shirt and pants, etc.).

Which of these watches would you bring on that kind of adventure? I have my CW C63 Sealander 36mm on a hybrid rubber strap, Orient Ray 2 on rubber, and Lorier Falcon III on bracelet. Suffering major choice paralysis!

Although not pictured, my vote is for your mighty Squale 1545 Atmos. In any case, have a great vacay! 🤙🎉

·

That's a tough call. I would be more inclined to make sure a breathable strap is on board for hot and humid weather. As for the watch itself, whichever is the lightest on wrist...lol! Choice paralysis is real!

·

The Orient Ray would be my choice. Wouldn't worry too much about it being snatched and works on every environment

·

All of them

·

If you bring the Lorier make sure you pop in an extra link. Wrists swell in the heat enough where the braclet may become too tight.

·

I'd go with the Sealander.

·

Orient! 💪

·

Do a steel bracelet, silicon will be somewhat uncomfortable in the heat. NATO should be good as well. 😊

If the lorier has tool less micro adjustment take that, or just put the sealander strap on it.

·

I'd go with a sealander but bring a gshock just in case?

·

Orient for me I think

·

I vote for the CW.

The bracelet on the Lorier is going to be too hot and have to microadjust it between AC and outdoors.

The Orient is nice but a little too "toolish" for a fancier look

The CW will do it all

·

My vote is for the lorier. It's the most understated here and (as a mexican) you'll want to have the least blingy watch in central america, and smaller watches also are less noticeably

·

The C63, I think.

All of them

BINGO we have a winner 🏆

·

If it were me, all of them. If forced to make a call, I’d go with the C63.

CW. Wear it like it was intended.

Hard to choose but here is my scientifical choice :

-The Orient is too toolwatch for the dressier occasion and what more enjoyable than coming back from a 32km hike in the rain forest and having a watch perfectly suitable for a drink in the city ?

-The Lorier is a fantastic explorer spirit watch, Versatile and legible. But only 100m of WR and hesalite keep me from choosing it for when things are getting harder.

-The C63 is the poor man's AT, a watch as comfortable jumping from the climb than at a 5 stars hotel lounge. It's a winner for me. Maybe I would wear it on the Bracelet and take a spare rubber in my pouch.

Enjoy your trip and the watch you'll wear mate !

Depends on where in Central America you are going. If you are going to Costa Rica then the CW. They are pretty good at controlling crime. The only problem with the other two is scratching the mineral crystals on a hike or on some coral snorkeling

·

I’m in Costa Rica right now - none of those. It’s hot, humid, and you will sweat out by 08:00. I’m wearing a Luminox Commando Raider XL, and it’s ok. You want something relatively hardy and easily to clean.

·

Orient Ray but if you want an excuse to spend another $180 get the Orient Ray with the blue dial - even better for tropical locations!!

Thank you!! That’s not a bad option…

Right there with ya lol

Take the Lorier, one rubber strap and a springbar tool. You will have an outdoors activity watch and a dressier watch all in one

·

My warm weather watch.

Man, the more I see Lorier, the more I want one. CW is fantastic too.

Ha! Well you are all set then!!

I'd take the Orient. It has a day/date function and I tend to lose track of the days on vacation. 😜 Plus it will complement your casual attire.
