I agree with @88MilesPerHour have whomever has this watch in their possession take a picture of in between the lugs... because the bracelet does not have fitted/curved endlinks they may even be able to see the reference and / or serial without removing by looking between the lugs from the back of the watch
Segregate the concepts of "owning a watch" and "appreciating a watch". It's an expensive trap that you can fall into when you convince yourself that you can only appreciate a watch once you own it and that you should own every watch you're keen on appreciating.
We all need a daily reminder that "Credor is awesome!". Purely obligatory. If your in the hobby long enough, it's a natural and uncontroversial conclusion.
As many have already stated, Seiko brings a lot to the table. If cross shopping these two watches, I'd put the most weight on the criteria of materials. Do you want a titanium watch or a stainless steel watch? I think this factor influences the wearing experience the most between these 2 choices. From >5 meters away, they'll look the same on your wrist to the average eye.
