Nailed it!
So today I had a 1 hour presentation with the Senior VP of my company and her leadership team. This is my boss’s boss’s boss’s boss. I work in a large tech factory for a very large tech company, so I generally wear jeans and a dive watch. Decided today to pull out this seldom worn Seiko beauty and the presentation went exceptionally well! Was able to present a $7.5 million annual savings for only $750K in annual cost.
I think it was the Seiko!

I've always believed attire impacts a person's confidence and attitude for good or bad. Of course that can't make up for incompetence. But obviously in your case your competence and your watch were well matched!

But the watch had NOTHING to do with it.
Hopefully the company will compensate your diligent work with a sizeable bonus for you to buy another lucky Seiko, or maybe a Grand Seiko. Kudos!
I also would find a presenter in a dive watch to be less credible, if that is what is being hinted at here.
As a high school history teacher, I understood almost none of that...BUT WELL DONE!
Sounds like we have a healthy Watch budget now that you should be allotted as part of that savings you saved your company!😉

Great work! My wife was a well respected, valued professional working in finance( not banking) never receiving the sort of compensation her industry pays persons of her standing. After yet another industry meeting in which she was one of the key speakers a colleague since moved on to another firm joked that her bosses never felt the need to offer her overly generous raises due in part to her Cartier watches and designer footwear. I convinced my wife to allow me to pen 2 letters of resignation one to HR the other to the senior VP, as usual requesting no perks to stay, simply that it was time to check out the market. Of course she received a substantial raise, less work and a promotion. Optics only carry so much, I am going to blame your intellect on the successful presentation, the Seiko,lol is just a watch.

Very nice! I have the Ice Blue dial and wear it often. Once you get one and pair it with the right straps it's surprising how versatile these pieces are.
The cocktail time is awesome and it goes with a few decent straps too, love mine
