Finally, my first Grand Seiko!
Since I started paying attention to watches, I’ve felt drawn to GS. The detail. The understated elegance. The technological innovations. Also being Asian, I feel a strong connection to the oriental culture represented in watches.
Between a blue dial Tissot Gentleman, a black dial SARB033, and a crazy dial Brew Metric, I wanted a silver dial to round out the collection. I just could not get myself to love the champagne dial in recent GS releases, and at the end decided on this slightly older model.
Introducing my Grand Seiko. SBGX091.
39mm. Silver (not champagne) dial. 9F quartz movement. Accurate to +/-10 sec per year.
Does anyone else have an issue with what GS calls silver but is actually champagne?

For the last 6 months this was basically my daily.
Perfect watch to round out your collection! I love the contrast of the silver dial and red text. You just can't go wrong with a 9F Grand Seiko!
I went a similar (but reverse, colorwise) path - I started with a SARB035, then picked up a SARX033. These both being lighter colors, I then went to a GS SBGN005 to cover a dark blue dial. Congrats!!

Snowflake or blue pattern dial are the watches I’ll be 110% picking up next windfall I experience. I’m trying to get down to a 10 watch collection with a GS as the jewel 🙂really nice watch, fantastic choice.

Congrats and I know the feeling of getting that first grand seiko. This is my First Grand seiko, my grail and I’m hoping not last.
Even with a $20 dollar archer strap which I prefer it still looks great lol

They actually have a champagne that’s very champagne in color and not silver like the dial pictured, SBGA 373 for example. Nice silver watch though.
