What is your preferred method to wear a nato strap?

There are not only countless types and colors of nato straps, but countless ways to wear a nato strap. What is your preferred method or the one you tend to use the most? 1. Tradition Way: through the loop of the extra strap 2. Reverse Tradition Way: same as the tradition, just reversed so the folded straps are now facing you 3. One layer of strap: fold over the extra strap and put the strap through both the loop and buckle so there's only one layer of strap between the watch and your wrist 4. Cut off the annoying extra strap! Method 1-3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VxB4AXzy5k Method 4 https://youtu.be/ZkdP4VZ93F0?t=429 I've also seen people move the loops & buckle directly under the wrist with all the above methods in order to hide the folded straps. Feel free to share other methods/tips you've tried!

I use the “remove and replace with a 2-piece strap” method. But if I must use a NATO, it would be C.

Traditional.

Anything else just get a nylon 2 piece or a simple single pass nylon.

Cutting it up is crazy when there are so many other options.

·

I like the look of the C, but whatever material gets under my wrist bothers me, so I go back to A.

·

Won't wear them.

Marine Nationales are another story

Really like the single-pass straps from Crown and Buckle. No extra fabric getting in the way and they are dressy enough to wear with suit.

·

I have original, 2 piece straps and single pass through. Anything but cutting for me.

·

I use this method:

5. Erikas Original MN is the only choice for comfort

Cutting a NATO should be a criminal offence 😂

I love the looks of Nato straps on other folks watches; but with but one exception, I haven't been able to pull off the look to my satisfaction with my skinny wrist.

Have cut the extra strap off of a couple (I know that that's a felony ...) but still doesn't do it for me 😕

·

Traditional way work fine as long as the watch isn't too thick (each to his own I guess)

If the normal double-pass causes the watch to lean too much to one side, I use the single-pass method...

·

Generally I only buy single pass for myself. With my wrist traditional natos but the buckle in a weird spot. Of I see one I like that's not available in a single pass I generally trim it.

·

Dang, I thought there would be more people like me. Wear it as a single layer or buy a single pass NATO strap. Try it, everyone! It feels much, much better! 😀

·

Well, you made me try C again, and it might have swayed my decision to get a single pass strap for my speedy homage instead of a rubber two-piece!

·

I'm in the "C" camp! I also have some single pass straps that I tend to wear that way...it's just a bonus that there's less bulk at the hardware. Every now and then, with the right strap and watch, I'll go traditional.

E. Remove and swap for a bracelet.
