I Need Straps

Greeting my fellow watch nerds, I come for help yet again! So where do you guys get your straps from? I have used Amazon, Ebay but those don't have the best quality. I have done Strapcode but I hate dropping $70 or more for a strap. I'd like to know what you all use. I need 30-40, decent Nato's, rubber/silicone, and maybe some Zulu's or Tropics...even a waffle or two. Don't really need leather...any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm into custom straps now. One watch a year and about 3 custom straps a year now. My nephew owns his own workshop online and I commission my straps through him. All straps are high end full grain leathers from around the world or exotic skins.

Have fun with shopping around for that right strap.

Cheers!

You're in Texas....should be able to get Barton's to you fast

I've done a few custom ones also from Etsy...haven't been disappointed with quality/fit etc but expect some lead time...shipping is slow

They take a little while to come from Sweden, but CNS.

Hirsch works for me. https://www.hirschstraps.com/

I primarily use Etsy to support local small manufacturers based in Europe

I can recommend

FinWatchStraps

and

Manufacturebrand

They provide an insane quality for the price and they are easy to communicate with.

i like their nato straps:

I don't do NATO because I think they are the best and fastest way to insta-cheap the look of any watch. I prefer to own fewer high quality straps than stuffing my drawers with the cheap & ugly.

For comfort and when I want an MN style strap: Erika's Originals. Great straps, plenty of customization options and a stunning attention to customer support.

For leather straps when I want something I know will fit a watch and won't make me regret a purchase: ColaReb. If their Roma strap managed to save my SPB147 then I'm sure their other straps will be just as successful.

Need a silicone strap but not sure about the length? Barton got you covered. Their straps are nice, the bi-colored one are not boring and they will send you two different length to make sure the fit will be right.

Strapcode and Strapsco are my favorite for getting better rubber straps. Personally I prefer the Strapsco DASSARI FKM range.

Geckota have a good choice. Just bought this green leather one for my Tudor Ranger - really pleased with the result.

Cotton straps from CNS https://cnswatchbands.com/collections/cotton-straps

These are very soft, but might not last as long as the nylon ones, but those are stiff and uncomfortable (not recomended).

·

Artisan straps is the only place I buy starps anymore. Have a cordovan strap from 2yrs ago that looks brand new except for the side paint starting to rub off a little. Which, considering I've worn it 4 days a week for those two yes, is beyond acceptable.

For a nice rubber strap, Hirsch Pure Natural: (https://www.hirschstraps.com/collections/rubber-hirsch-straps/products/hirsch-pure-natural-rubber-watch-strap-black)

The rubber material is so nice that it looks like leather. Quick release as well.

I recently purchased a couple silicone straps from Archer (amazon) They are very pliable and soft, extremely comfortable.

·

I have ordered 3 times last year from this company, they have a vast selection of bands/straps and even have sales from time to time, some can be had for below $4!!!

Cheapest Natos for inexpensive nylon straps that are good enough (I purchased one of their leather straps and it was so bad I couldn’t even physically install it on a watch).

Crown & Buckle make great nylon natos and single pass. I like their Chevron straps (single pass, adjustable size). Two examples:

UTE natos for watches with tight clearance between the spring bar and case requiring thinner nylon. They have good hardware. Example:

I enjoy my Erika’s Original strap but it sounds like that is more than you’d like to spend. It is a lot for nylon but it is fantastic and I’m happy I got it.

I have large (8.5") wrists so finding longer straps is hard. Most places just re-sell cheap short chinese straps. My go-to strap seller is Zuludiver and watchgecko (they seem to be the same seller). Good quality prices. On eBay the seller Nato-international has very good quality low cost straps. They are the seller that owns the "NATO" name.

For NATOs, my favorite are from Moose Strap (but I haven't bought any from them in a while and their stock now is showing as mostly sold out/ I hope they are still around). I like more of the seat belt style NATO and their Premium Slim fit the bill. Also, I believe Bark and Jack originally sourced their NATOs from Moose Strap before he went on his own (likely white labeling them from another source). I also like Haveston too but they don't have as many color options to choose from.

This thread is interesting as I am about to buy some NATOs from Crown and Buckle and Cheapest NATO so will have more to compare soon. Also, I am interested in FKM rubber straps and am thinking of taking a chance on the Juelong official store on AliExpress (first AliExpress purchase) because they are so cheap (little to lose here) and I suspect that many (if not most) of the similar if not identical looking FKM straps offered by others at higher prices are sourced from similar Chinese suppliers.

@Rocketfan , I picked up an FKM strap from AliExpress, and agree - they look identical to "nearby" sellers which apparently high markups...

  1. Strapsco (all materials, inexpensive with quick release)

  2. Crown and Buckle (nice fabric straps, exact looking straps that Tudor sells but a fraction of the price.

  3. House of Straps (reasonably priced leather straps). *I know you said you weren’t interested in leather
