Steve McQueen, Submariber 5513 and a coffee mug

I have this mug. There are many like it. But this one is mine. That Steve guy made fantastic movies. There’s just one of him. The photo is by Ron Gale...

In the quiet the man has a watch & whiskey. The secrets of existence can choose to attend. Or not. But this moment is mine.

Age has given us more context but wisdom is an active endeavor. I must be lazy and let it all move past without me. The collecting is contemplative an...

Hamilton Khaki Field Auto. My wife jump-started my collecting obsession buying it for me. She could not stand how clueless I was that I’d need it. Tra...

It’s a nice little mug. It’s cozy design and palette is ideal for coffee.

What?! He’s 43 there? Sun damage. He sure loved riding his motorcycles out in full sun. Maybe he didn’t believe in sunscreen.

Nice birth year watch. Like time travel to stand where/when you arrive on the planet. Here’s mine :1959 Omega Seamaster Cal 591 Automatic 34 mm Ref 14704. Been here a while.

I do appreciate Orient watches—the word “Orient” has had its day. Enough. AND the logo belongs on cigar bands and boxes.

Happy hunting. Make sure to try on the watch. I tried on the Trilogy Railmaster at an Omega Boutique—saw a spec of what appears to be a factory particle on the dial. The point is, I loved wearing it. It feels like no other watch I have — but vigilance paid off in spotting something amiss. It was not a big deal. They were not going to conscience selling me the watch, opting to send it back to Omega. I bought a flawless Railmaster from another Omega AD. It remains a prized member of my family watch box.
