My first Seiko back in 2021 was a stand-in for a BB36 and never left the stage.
The SRPE57 with gilt metal surrounds indices and warm gold chapter ring marks. I find the SRPE series (nicknamed Dresskx) being chosen as first watches in watch forums and I celebrate this—affordable and well designed. At around $200 it is easy to choose. I keep it on a nato now for short walks and grocery store errands but also over coffee at the corner Blue Bottle. 100 m WR, I could do more with it. Not needing that BB36 yet.

I have the SNK805 that also has the Seiko 5 crown at 4 o’ clock. Jaunty, it is. And your comment made me look at how many of my watches have round indices. I have three! The majority does not. Cheers😎😃
