The First Attempt at a Worldwide Synchronized WC Meetup!?
Happy New Year, by the way. My first question for you this year comes from the best thing WC has provided me, the opportunity to geek out together, the Meetup, as it were. My thought spiraled into an idea: Is it possible for us all to meet up at once, in our own time zones and locales, and just send a wave of watch nerdism across the face of the globe?
My thought for this experiment was to get meetups to encircle earth falling dominos style. Starting at about 13:50 GMT on Friday June 21st (summer solstice for the northern hemisphere, longest day of the year, several months of prep, seems like a good time and day), we just flood WC with meetup posts every hour or so for a solid twenty four hours.
Waddaya say? Is this too crazy to get off the ground… or is it crazy enough it just might work?
EDIT:: To clarify, this is not an event meant to happen all at once at the same time, rather it begins at 13:50GMT and then follows each time zone there after, domino falling across the globe until it comes back around, kinda like following New Years celebrations over the planet. One big non stop 24 hour Watch Crunch party.
Not the fanciest of collections. Just an amateur enthusiast, with a little interest in some things EDC as well. And tennis. And F1. And nature. And science.

Well, the idea is that it doesn’t happen all at once, but that it rolls across the globe at 13:50 local—so there would be a domino effect of passing one time zone to the next until it comes back around to GMT again.
