I don’t normally do these NWA’s, but I was compelled beyond reason.

I repeat myself again that I am a sucker for railroad minute tracks, heat blued hands, and sub seconds. Now, I can say I am a sucker for Art Deco hands, square cases, and engraving.

Quick look up of this movement says they were made between 1925 and 1937. Any further information would be happily accepted.

Doesn’t really run well…so here I go down that road.

Have been told that my grandfather wore Bulova’s, though in this time period he was in high school or just before going into the Navy, so I doubt he wore something like this. Was noted that he purchased Bulova’s possibly in the 60’s, but now I’m hunting down his possible Hamilton Navy watch from WWII.

Anyway, I’m absolutely thrilled to see this piece in person, and am not disappointed with the fact that it doesn’t run, it’s just that awesome.

Thanks for crunching.

Edit: at 26mm wide and only 33mm lug to lug, I’m also now a sucker for smaller watches.

It is such a little darling, wonderful pickup, looking forward to getting it serviced and telling time again.

That's a beauty. I love these old classic looks. To maybe help it run better you can put it on a demagnitizer. I find that this helps with a lot of vintage pieces. When I get home from work I will look it up in my reference book and hopefully it's in there. I will give you the information that I can. Again, beautiful watch.

Well, i suppose it might be worth getting a demagnetizer. It is a beauty, isn’t it!?

I have looked through my book and I don't find this model. I find one similar and it is called a Bulova Rectangle and is from the 1930s. Most Bulovas that I see that have the ornate cases like yours are from the 20s and 30s. The dial may also have rodium on it. If I find anything else out I will let you know.

Yeah that’s hot.
