Someone said something about a Bay Area (California) meet up?
If you’ve been tagged it’s because you voted on my poll [https://www.watchcrunch.com/TheSharperTheBetter/posts/wanna-meetup-in-the-bay-area-have-drinks-have-snacks-talk-watches-13824] and have expressed an interest in a meetup. I’m not the greatest event organizer, so please bare with me.
I see that there are some of you that voted and are not located near the Bay Area (CA). If you voted and are not actually planning on going to a Cali meetup, kindly disregard the rest of this.
According to the poll, it looks like we’re split between East/South/Other. However, a lot of the “Others” did not comment, so I couldn’t make a more accurate mapping center. After some consultation, I’ve settled on Fremont as a central location. It’s got BART, it’s got parking, it’s got bars, it’s got restaurants. I’m not sure if something like a Panera with big tables, coffee, and food is better or if a bar with alcohol and food is better: discuss further in the comments.
I just assume that the weekend is better, so I have chosen Saturday October first as our day, and from whatever results in the comments about the specific venue we will also determine a time.

Ventura is one of my favorite places to visit! It's a great town! I still think about the Hamilton 2001 Space Odyssey Limited Edition I saw in the pawn shop there from time to time.
As for this meetup I'd say it's unlikely I'll make it, but I'll add it to my calendar just in case.

I have a friend that owns a beach house in Cayucos, I can stay there if necessary. Nobody uses it so its mine if I want it pretty much anytime. It is quite a bit closer to Freemont than Ventura.
Sounds cool but I’m near London.
I live in SF and would join for drinks but I can’t do saturdays, sundays are pretty possible.

If you dig long enough, even here in Ventura you can find something. This is the golden state after all. Seriously, I never find anything but the local AD for Seiko, Citizen, Casio and more is awesome, you must go there. One More Time on Thompson Blvd, I know the owners and they are awesome.
