I don’t own all those brands I was just generalizing based on tiers. Your list got me thinking on watch box arranging and tiers of watch brands. I just posted about watch tiers! Thanks for getting me thinking on this with your post.
I go from left to right and do it by tier. I start with just regular watches (Seiko 5, timex) then go up to entry level one luxury (Hamilton, Tissot). Then you get your second level luxury (Longines, Tudor, Oris). Third level (Omega, Rolex, Breitling). 4th (Ulysses Nardan, JLC), 5th (usually top level. Holy Trinity, Richard Mille etc)
Going with Hamilton Field Mechancial for overseas trip. Won’t attract attention like my other watches and I can still say im wearing an entry level luxury piece. I’d say go with Longines from your list
I tried on a 2023 Sub and it didn’t feel great quality. Bezel wasn’t tactile, if you bumped it slightly the bezel would move. Bracelet felt dainty even though it used solid endlinks. If you get a Rolex make sure you get one for a price YOURE confortable with. That 2002 one you tried on, quality isn’t worth 9k. You’re just paying for a name. It’s probably worth like 2k if you take the name out. The 2002 116520 Daytona I tried on today felt like good quality but it’s not worth 22k. Maybe 5-7k.
I bet many people who own Rolex will be very pissed off when they pick the Pagani or any other similar built watch instead of the Rolex. Marketing doesn’t make the watch. So many other great brands out there that make equal quality and beyond what the crown makes.
Oh dude don’t worry. I don’t like Rolex. I don’t buy into their hype. They’re a good brand yes but my Omegas are better in terms of quality, finishing and movements. Just like Grand Seiko. Rolex are well built, but not the best. Their marketing is what people buy into. I swear it’s the logo, people just want to be “kings and queens”. To that I say why be a king when you can be a Greek god? ♎️
