Italy is wild.

On a trip to Italy, almost every city has people wearing stuff you’d almost never see in the wild in the US. Cops have subs, random people walking around with Pepsis, Patek, Ap, Tissot, Hamilton, Tudor, Chopard. Rose gold Daytonas , Omega. Every brand you can think of all over the place. Florence, Venice, Rome all had people wearing stuff that would be hard to find in America. Probably cause America loves their Apple Watches. This collage was from the St Marks Square Rolex Boutique and a Breitling/ Second hand Boutique. That yellow gold Newman is insane. Also the 5711 they wanted 110k not 10 like the pic shows ( got cut off). Long story short, Italy has to be the capital of the watch buying world other then Switzerland.

Could some of the watch owners be tourists, obviously not the police? Italians are certainly different from North Americans( American, Canadians), my wife and I were in Napoli a few years ago enjoying a slice of pizza at an outdoor cafe when we both noticed that the men strolling by were dressed in gorgeous suits, cashmere light coats, elegant scarves etcetera while I had taken off my sweater revealing a white dress t shirt. I was warm from investigating the streets. But it was already early November, the locals were in a hurry to show off their fall fashions which included the usual luxury timepieces on their exposed wrists.

I would say that Hong Kong is the largest importer of swiss made watches. You also see people on the subway with very expensive watches. There is a street downtown that has almost 1 rolex dealer per block. Some block have one each side of the road. Lots of resale boutique also.

Here is an example of only 1 area in HK:

"...Cops have subs..."

What does that tell you? Sounds like you should remember this phrase:

"Officer, please accept this gift for your children/wife." (You'll need to feel him out as to which would be the most effective when under arrest.)

This also reportedly works in Mexico too.

That’s awesome 👏

I’ll bring nice clothes and watches if I ever get to Italy

Sadly, It’s basically 100% Apple Watches in Vancouver
