What are your hobbies (aside from watches)?
Hey there Crunchers! I took the weekend off from posting, and wanted to come back with another question; What hobbies do you have aside from enjoying/collecting watches?
For me, watches are a rather recent obsession. I've been a pistol shooter for the last 15 years, writer for 6, and a nerd for my whole life. I love a good book, listening to music, and playing some videogames too. Collecting vinyl and weird physical copies of games have been something that I've done for a long while too. Cigars have also been a recent hobby for me, albeit they predate watches for me too.
Hiking & camping are also activities that I love to do. The last photo was taken on a trail in the Wasatch-Uintas-Casche National Forest, at about 11,000 ft. I'm wearing the venerable Casio Royale there, along with my Garmin Foretrex 601 for dropping pins on our route.
There's certainly more hobbies, but I can't give it all away.
So how about you? What else do you enjoy?
Hi there! I'm a writer in the outdoor world, and watches have been a recent passion of mine. I'm someone with a fairly small collection, so expect to see a lot of the same watches in my posts.
Chinese gong fu style tea and stop motion animation are two of mine!
Backpacking, hiking, amateur photography. Knife collecting and I am a big David Bowie fan. I also enjoy reading, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick!! ;-)
Vintage motorcycles, scuba diving, graphic novels, jazz vinyl, and I play bass in a garage punk band.

I love writing and art, anything creative honestly. I’m also very heavy into the photography hobby, both film and digital. In addition to that I have an obsession with sailing and the ocean in general, tattooing, motorbikes and antique machines and technology of all kinds and music. I play violin and guitar.
I have young kids. They take up A LOT of bandwidth. Watches are a nice escape. I'm also an avid music fan (including going to live gigs), and I adore going for solitary walks. Been getting back into watching some very selective TV (Watching Ozark currently).
But it's coming to true summer here in Ireland, so I plan on spending lots of time outside, doing aome DIY and bringing my kids to the local beach.
I’m a musician, record collector, and audiophile, in that order.
Drums, synths, vintage motorcycles, video games & YouTube, off-roading in my 4Runner, driving my WRX, hiking, camping, all sorts of stuff. Watch and clock repairs also, but idk if that counts as “not watches”, as well as small electronics or other “junk” repair.
All of this is overshadowed by a rambunctious 2.5y/o son and a wonderful wife lol
Bass fishing, mountain biking ,hiking, and camping. I also like the look at watches that I can't afford.

I like collecting banknotes and learning about different things (especially places). I feel like hobbies r fun (esp with someone else) but I don’t really do any atm bc school takes up time
I do want to expand my basic knowledge of woodworking and like to know watch and typewriter repair!

I am a decent cook, used to do it for fun but after my wife started working from our home full time, I feel like a short order cook in a diner always at her beck and call since covid pushed me into retirement.

I had to sell my CB Sevenfifty in order to get this monster, one legend left and another took it's place. This one is more fun though. The best money spent in my entire life, by far 😁

My dogs, vintage and not so vintage motorcycles, classical music. I also have 11 mechanical clocks, 8 of which I wind weekly.
Mountain biking and road cycling. My wife is not exactly thrilled about the cost of all my hobbies 😄
Reading and collecting history, nation study, political science, and business books. I collect German hand tools too - which I use to work on the house as required, is the latter a hobby?
I am getting into Solovair boots and leather goods here lately. And, I like to visit new towns and regions via secondary and on foot as I am able too.
Besides watches, I love football, volleyball, sneakers, and hip hop.
Comic books, movies, and have been a professional musician for 40 years.
Bikes, mainly road bikes…below is one from my well loved, and oft-ridden herd. And the correct number of bikes needs, if anyone asks, is “N+1” by the way

My parents purchased that camera back in 02 to document my early childhood. Afterwards it just sat for 20 years until I dusted it off. I’ve put five rolls through it so far.
