Charity auctioned the Bicompax 002 blue gilt here on WC. The winning bid also won the right to change my handle. That’s how I went from “Omeganut” to “Hotwatchchick69.”
If buy the Baltic, the same horrible fate might befall you!!!

I went once spontanously to their show room in Paris, without knowing that I have to make an appointment before.
But they opened me the doors, showed me around, presented me their collection, I had the chance to try them all on, we talked about the watches, they offered me drinks.
Pure Horror, knowing that there are some cool lovely watch brands like Baltic out there.

I missed my chance last month, though my wife would not have been pleased. I did randomly walk by the Charlie store in the 6th.

Brian, how has the Seagull lasted for you 11 months later?
If you like hearing a horror story, I've heard of one. Once upon a time there was a ship. A big and old ship. The captain of the ship had only one leg, the other was lost in the fight with the purple shark. Yes, that is absolutely correct. Purple shark. They live in the Baltic Sea, deep in black and cold water, much deeper than @Deeperblue (I've always wondered why Kaysia choosed that nickname but now it's clear that even she likes to swim in safe waters 😁💙) water. Anyway, the pirate knew about the treasure in the depths of the sea, so he chased after it. After the fight with the purple shark and the lost leg, when he emerges with the soaked walnut box and opens it, a pearly frog jumps out. She told the pirate that if he let her go then he could make a special wish. As he was so tired of the endless hunting for treasures and long sailing on the oceans, he wanted to become a watchmaker. And it happened. So he worked hard and created many nice watch models, and since the mother-of-pearl frog comes from the Baltic Sea, he named the company after waters he meet the frog. And so Baltic was born. But be careful when buying one of these watches bc saying goes that whoever buys a watch from Baltic can sometimes meet a purple shark while swimming in the Baltic Sea. Especially when consuming lot of alcoholic beverages such as rum, vodka or whiskey 🤷♂😁

Spot on👍🏻and kudos for the Grimm horrological 🕰☠🦈 nautical fiction there.
Like many others have said here, go for it! They are great. Currently I only own sn Aquascaphe GMT and I love it. A buddy of mine owns a non GMT Aquascaphe and it’s great!
The more I look at the Aquascaphe the less appealing it is.
The Baltic logo is too small for the available space and the 12 and the triangles are too big.
It’s out of balance with itself.
It’s so close to being right that it’s jarringly wrong.
The Bi-Compax is very much better balanced, though I’d want to see the blue/gold in person. Some photos/videos it looks great, dark blue and subtle accents. In others it’s a bright blue with blingy gold.
And it has the same movement as the Seagull 1963 which is a really cheap watch. It’s not comforting. I don’t care about mechanical as a goal in itself.
For some a $650 watch is a nice little pickup as an interesting addition. A fun beater.
For me it’s a sizable investment and it doesn’t hold up well to Hamiltons or even Seikos in that same price range.
But I love the curved glass and bezel of the Aquascaphe. And the Bi-Compax is potentially gorgeous…
I visited their showroom in Paris, being quite tempted by the asuascaphe and ended up turning away from it. The watch is so photogenic that once on my wrist I couldn't recreate this glowing beauty you see on most pictures. The lighting in the studio was definitely good, but it just felt a little flat. I probably hipped it too much in my mind but didn't regret the visit.
All in all I don't think you could be wrong going for it, their watches are great !
I recommend to check out Yema too, another great french brand with a lot of history.

I'm a musician and in the guitar amp biz. I do gear reviews on my own YT channel but I'm not here for that - this is my side hobby. That said, I know how the sausages are made both in production/manuf...

It’s not a Rolex!
See? It’s that easy…
PS: Don’t have a Rolex and will most likely never get one.

I love my Baltic so you should totally not buy it otherwise you might have to wear it loads and it may distract you from other watches

Oh, I don’t know. @Deeperblue won the watch. Kaysia, how is the watch holding up?
They’re going on Ebay for more than new on Baltic’s site.
I’m suspicious of the movements at the price point.
But they’re so pretty…
I own 2 and want them all....it's horrible.....oh the pain.
Join me in my misery and get one too.
If you’d seen the bikini shots, you wouldn’t wonder anymore.
Nuff said!
Baltics are a great value...I have several and have added a few every year since they launched it seems.
Look Wei Koh from Revolution Watch would not have collaborated with Baltic if they were not up to his standard (which is pretty high).
Check out the Baltic x Revolution Watch collaboration...(which I think @JaeBust also owns)...
Here are some of the others in the collection...
The Baltic x Peter Auto collaboration was also pretty sweet...in addition to the above beauty, it also came with these...

I want the reverse panda tri compax when it comes back in September 🥰🥰not helping lol
I had the chrono few years ago. Washed my hands and few minutes later the inside of the watch started fogging up. Sent it back to baltic.
Here are some alternatives.
I’m not sure if this helped

The VC skips several income brackets.
The Tudor is a snooze fest.
Getting equally tempted by this thread!!

My apologies to Tudor lovers. I feel the same way about the Rolex sub.
Ok, but just because you are asking for it!

If you didn't like the Miyota in the Laco you posted about the other day, you won't like the Miyota in the Aquascaphe!
Baltic is great, and love the hell out of the Aquascaphe 🤙🏼🤿. https://analogexplorer.substack.com/p/baltic-aquascaphe-bronze
Baltic prices their watches in Euros. Only buy them when the dollar is strong. So like now.
