I’ve been waiting months and months and months for the Unison Watches Model Orbital to arrive. More than 7 months, in fact!

And in that time, my ardor had abated. You know how sometimes you just get swept up by the hype?
And then in more sober moments, you wonder…
I kinda feel like that’s what happened to me.
So, I just figured, “No problem. I’ll get the watch and charity auction it!” Because I hold onto new watches the way @Edge168n holds onto divers…
But, you know what? The watch arrived yesterday. I put it on wrist, and guess what? I’ve decided not to auction it. Why? Because the watch is too nice.

It also came with all sorts of awesome goodies!
It’s totally different from any other watch I have in my collection! The finishing is beautiful, and I love the sorta steampunk look to it.
When I showed it to my wife, she said, “Wow! That’s really something!” But, in this kinda way…
She said, “You know how I always say that all your watches look the same? Well, not that one. That one I can tell apart from the others.”
She said it looked like a bicycle component of some sort. And, well, that’s how she and I met! We met our freshman year of college, on the cycling team! These are all good things in my book.
So, no, I’m not going to charity auction this watch. I like it too much - it’s too good for the likes of you all!
