Decisions Decisions ... The hunt begins

Greetings fellow Mortals,

So as time slowly erodes my youth and I turn 30 next year , I have been thinking....I should treat myself and buy something fucking cool! Then when the economy dies and im living in acave , I have somthing nice to look at while burning the books I have never read to stay warm.

Im thinking of adding to my already delicious collection. I gave my mrs my Cartier tank D, so no hassle there ;)  and im thinking this may be my last big purchase for a couple of years as I need to stop spunking my money on fancy time pieces and buy a house like a good little adult.

So I have three options posted above , what do you guys think?

Based on the collection you already have?  I'd go with the Breitling, but maybe the Pistachio B09 instead of that one.

Premier B09 Chronograph 40

Need a little color in there, but maybe not as in your face as the Breitling you are contemplating.

Based on which I like the most, the GS.

I do love that one , I did start out with a whole ying and yang theme in my mind , but as time goes on I am leaning towards the unusual :) plus mint green is such a nice colour to wear with a black t shirt

The Explorer.. always a Rolex.

Since this is a site for watch enthusiasts, I would agree with the Breitling. You have black and white dials. I would go with something more colorful, and with a chronograph complication.

If this were NOT a site for watches, I would say save your money for a mortgage. When I was 30 I had a mortgage, a wife, and my first child. I was broke and wore a fossil watch. Ten (or 14) years later, I have much more disposable income for things like watches.

This is real weird, but I'd say the Breitling.  I love the Explorer, but can't endorse buying from Rolex at this point.  The GS is beautiful, most of what they make is, but there's just something about the way Breitling is doing green that gets me.  I like the watch you posted, I second the pistachio one posted by @Jimmer , and I'd add this...

It's 36mm, but if you're ok with the Explorer, maybe you'd be ok with this too.  Plus the bracelet isn't like much else I've seen.  Whatever you choose, enjoy!

Can’t go wrong with any of your choices, but I’d go for the Explorer since you don’t have a Rollie as of yet.

·

I guess pop on the Explorer.  Don’t forget to burn all your watch receipts to keep the fire stoked.  Stay warm.

·

Another vote for the Explorer. As the market cools I’d hope you could get one without the silly games.

Else towards the deposit…

·

Either go for the Breitling for the colour or the Explorer to balance your yin-yang. Too much yang (white dial) at the moment.

·

Dude… of the three it’s absolutely the Navi. Playful, historic, classy, colourful, versatile, a complication you’re lacking… just stellar. 💚

The GS a close second to be fair but you’re already experiencing the brand. 💙

The Rolex a very distant boring ass third. Get one for your 50th if you have to 👎🏼

I can never not recommend an Explorer. But I do like the various Breitlings shown as well…

I guess it boils down to, which watch do you imagine yourself grabbing more from your watch box?

·

Breitling, got one for my 40th and I still own it.

Normally I would‘t say this, but given your collection my vote is the Explorer.

Or, get a Ranger and put the rest towards a mortgage

·

The Rolex gets my vote. I'll be 30 in January and it's more or less dead center on my radar for a purchase. Happy early birthday!

The Chronomats are so so so nice.

Nothing exciting about the Rolex, other than it being a Rolex.  You have a GS already, but maybe you could trade up to get the Shōsho dial.

The Breitling is the most interesting; it's not my color choice (I'd go for the pistachio B09), but if you like minty green, the Navi certainly delivers - and wherever you go, you can count on it being the only one in the room.  I think it really comes to life on a brown leather strap:
