I bought a Marinemaster adjustable clasp for mine and the fit is great. Not only does it get rid of the fold-out dive extension, but the ratcheting extension in the MM clasp acts like on-the-fly micro adjust!
Funny, I just posted about the accuracy of the 3230 in my Rolex Explorer. I love nerding out on this kind of stuff (even when it makes my head hurt a little). My understanding is that the biggest benefit of the co-axial is the lack of friction, and therefore longer service intervals. So I would guess that brand new, out of the box the Rolex movements would win. But 10 or 15 years down the line? That could very well be Omega’s time to shine.
I believe you used to be able to order the Explorer with “special oils” that withstood greater temperature fluctuations, and could survive the extreme cold of mountain climbing. Today’s technology means that, like the Milguass, there’s little separation between it and the regular OP. But if you’re like me, then that 3/6/9 is well worth the price of admission.
