What a weekend! I now have an engagement watch 🎉🎉🎉🎉
So my delicious WC I am now officially engaged to my lovely lady after nearly 10 years together. I thought it was about time :p
The Saturn swatch will always have this memory attached to it now :)

Okay Mr Mooncat very sincere congratulations on your engagement and as they say in Scotland “lang may yer lum reek!” (literally - long may your chimney smoke - i.e. wishing you longevity and happiness together as a home).
But … could you not have rocked something from your lovely collection more permanent and enduring than a MoonSwatch!?
Those lovely GS, Omega and Bulova watches will last for many many years and surely outlive the MoonSwatch.
I suggest you run a repeat wearing the GS - at least you won’t be nervous about the answer!

P.s. tip for wedding planning that I was given and saved me heaps of grief … whatever you are asked make sure to express a choice (e.g. should we have blue or yellow flowers?) - your choice will be ignored, generally, but “I don’t care” is the wrong answer!

This is true, but It was spur of the moment so after traveling straight from work , this was the only watch I had 😂
It does mean though that I proberbly will rock a speedy for our wedding ;) so that gives me an excuse to buy one.

Well I purchased the watch myself and the ring came from her grandparents , so we would keep our possessions should be hr unthinkable ever happen lol

I still have the Breitling Crosswinds, she kept and sold the 15k Diamond ring. She got the better deal but I’m happy.

Congrats!!❤️My lady friend had completed her uni degree ready to return home to Taiwan to work in the family business, perhaps marry some young guy with a promising future. We were just enjoying each other’s company when she noticed a watch that caught her eye. I bought it as a going away gift, suddenly asked her to stay, marry an old bachelor, raise daughters or sons, grow old together, support each other. Almost 38 years later, we still just enjoy each other’s company. She remains indifferent to my watch hobby.
