Awesome content. But I think you lost the challenge Max. Sorry dude.

At least it was cheaper 😂

Wow, what a treat! Every city needs one. You lost this one only because you triggered me by allowing an O’Leary quote into your selection, or should I say “Seleccíön.”

·

Very nice and well paced video, doing this kind of challenge with a staff member was a very welcome change. It looks like a wonderful store. (I'd say it was a very close one, there were some watches I preferred in both collections)

I'm trigger happy 😂

So refreshing when it's a fellow watch nerd behind the counter!

Fun! And under budget too.

Fun! And under budget too.

Pretty happy with myself on that one. But the AT 😢

·

The two 4 watch selection within budget show diversity and no one won as it is all about personal choices. Some collectors have biases and that is OK. This is a copy and paste comment from the YouTube upload and I add the following here. What Max has done, in the same way as Teddy Baldasarre with Mr. Wonderful Kevin O'Leary, is opened up the different options and choices available. Most important is do research and gain product knowledge beforehand then you will have a better understanding what you really want. Whether you buy a G Shock or an Evolution series Grand Seiko, there is no right or wrong answer. It is what really matters to you! This hobby of ours is all about enjoyment and passion. Anything else seems to defeat the objective of getting into it in the first place. So, fellow collectors, this is a journey and I have been doing it for over 45 years and it will continue.

Two great collections for me

·

He made a solid showing, but it’s hard to beat a Grand Seiko and a Speedy in the same collection. Well done, sir!

·

I’m heading up to Toppers in Buringame, next to San Francisco this morning. I believe it’s an all watch AD store with 20 brands. One of my sons is taking me there for Father’s Day.

What could be better! Happy early Father’s Day everyone.

·

Sorry Max I'd have the other persons collection.

·

Needed the AT for winning , that beige hammy 🥱

Seemed like a fun game though. We will start calling you Teddy 2.0 😉 (don’t bring O’Leary into this!)

I’ve had some great GS try ons in the old Seattle Ben Bridge, about a year ago, gotta go suss out this new one!

·

It’s an interesting idea - gradually build up $15k and then go dump whole shebang in a single shopping trip at epic AD with 4 watches as a goal.

But it does kill the fun of doing it slowly over time 🫤

·

My home away from home Seattle neighborhood. We walk to this shopping center all the time but now I've got another reason to meander over. I'll let them know you put me on to them. I really enjoyed this format as it's a very fun mental exercise that's easy on the wallet.

I just want to second the fantastic experience at Timeworks. I went in out of curiosity and ended up talking to the folks there for an hour about all sorts of things. Also got to try out a lot of watches that have been on my target list for a long time (aqua terra, constellation, a few longines). Beautiful people working there giving out a very welcoming community vibe. Cheers!

·

I was sad to see the Grand Seiko SBGX261 go… 🥲

·

It was great seeing this - Timeworks in U Village is aces, and everyone that's part of Judy's team is first class good watch people! But Gabe crushed it, sorry @Max 😂

·

Dealer won the challenge

House always wins! 🎰

·

Nice to see this :) I live in Zurich and most sales people are just trained to sell whatever is the easiest. Very few watchnerds left :/

I came here for this gif hahahaha love it!

·

I’d have to say it was a draw. I think you both chose poorly. I suspect you may have been limited by the available manufacturers though.

·

Fun video! Would love to go check the shop out!

Solid Choice on the GBD-200

I have to go with the store employee's collection. I love that GS GMT and almost bought it (got an Explorer II instead).

·

I'm a bit late to this thread but I went there yesterday and it really was a fun time. I tried on the Oris BCPD Cervo Volante in green and it was hard not to walk out with it. Any chance of getting a special deal if you tell them @Max sent you?
