To me the FXD most uncompromisingly represents the soul of Tudor. Marine nationale is where Tudor really started to separate itself from Rolex design in the 70s. Fixed lugs is a sacrifice of fashion for function and it's titanium design and unabashed 42mm proportions contrasts itself with the smaller more metrosexual models.
What's one watch from a given brand you feel most speaks to it's essence/ethos?

Helm Vanuatu
Pretty much sums up Helm.
Functional, over engineered, tough, legible, tool, ISO, extremely affordable, also wait-list 😂.
Panerai Luminor
Casio F-91W. It's an icon and the most sold watch in the world at this point. Truly made time keeping accessible to the entire world.
glycine airman
For JLC it must be the Reverso imo.
DOXA - Sub 300T Professional
CW C60 Trident Pro
Yes the Twelve is pretty the Bel Canto is awesome and the Sealander line is very cool but this is Christopher Ward for me.
If some one screams tissot it’s almost impossible not respond PRX at this point. It’s almost like playing a game of Marco Polo at this point. I wonder what watch was it for them before the PRX craze?
Excuse my ignorance - what is ‘fixed lugs’ ?
Panerai Luminor
Totally agree, I have one and it's the only panerai I'll need
glycine airman
Such history with this one
DOXA - Sub 300T Professional
It out turtles the turtle 🐢

Don't even get me started on the PRX 😂😂
Excuse my ignorance - what is ‘fixed lugs’ ?
No spring bars, it's all part of the case, so no bracelets or 2 piece straps. Only Natos
Excuse my ignorance - what is ‘fixed lugs’ ?
It's a misnomer for fixed strap bars. The lugs don't have holes for spring bars, rather they're connected by a solid piece of material.
Or you can say, there are no lugs, instead there are slots cut into the case to thread a single-piece strap through them.

For Jack Mason, the Stratotimer GMT. Obviously the rare WatchCrunch edition!
I would say that Eterna is best represented by the Kon-Tiki, but I own an Eterna Matic 1000, so I'll lie and say that the Matic xxxx series represents the brand best, especially the Matic 1000...
Kontiki
Gotta be Hamilton khaki field especially since they are basically unchanged from the military issues of the 60s & 70s. Just the addition of a logo today (and larger diameter)
Grand Seiko SBGM221
Omega: Seamaster Professional 300 (particularly the Bond/Bronson Era)
This is and the Black Bay are what I think of when I think of #tudor
Kontiki
I'm not allowed to tell you that you're correct. You are without a doubt correct, I just can't say that.

Centenaire is also an acceptable answer.

Definitely, those are very tasteful.
Cartier - Tank.
Was going to say the Navitimer
But since that was taken
How about the squale 50atmos I’m blue
Nah, its the blue Sunray 1545. I only say that however, because its the one I have.
