Santos De Cartier Medium

I have saved all year for this watch. I save $150 a week, every single week, until I have the majority of the cash for the luxury watch I want. I’ve been eyeing this watch since January, and I finally pulled the trigger. I am in love.

Congratulations on a beautiful timepiece.

Congrats! If I were to add a cartier, it probably will be the medium santos as well. I like the Santos Dumont XL bit a little too large for my wrist.

·

I have tried on the Santos , photos really don’t do it justice . What a nice watch I thought when I tried it on . Congratulations on a great timepiece.

·

Out of curiosity, how long did you have to wait, once you had the funds?

I could learn from you, I bet it’s pretty darn fulfilling to get that piece and if you hold that long for the purchase and you still want it at the the end, then I bet you you have 0 doubts you want that watch.

Curious have you ever saved for a piece and then at the end changed your mind?

Congrats on an incredible, versatile, and lovely watch.

I usually keep a couple options in mind when saving for a watch. That way if I go into an AD and try it on, but don’t love it, then I’ll still have another option to look at. Luckily, I’ve always enjoyed the choices once I see them on my wrist. I have been eyeing some Breitlings and I’m worried that when I try them on, they will be too large for me, so I’ll keep another watch in mind while I’m saving for my next one.

How do you mean? Once I had the funds, I just waited for the right time to go into an AD. I happened to be going to San Francisco with some friends last weekend, and there was a Cartier boutique there. I went in, and they luckily had the watch in stock. Supposedly, it was the last Cartier Santos medium they had in stock. I told them I’d sleep on the decision, and they said they’d hold it for me for 24 hours. I got the AD’s business card, then texted her the next day to set up an appointment to come in, and I walked out with the watch after about 30-45 minutes.

Yup. I had to wait 3 weeks for mine, but it was not like I couldn't try one on at the boutique. Just comparing. I've always had great experiences at my local Cartier boutique and never felt like I didn't earn the right to be there or at least, try things on.

Enjoy. It’s a beauty. Just got my Santos as well.

·

Congrats! That is the most rewarding feeling!

Yeah, they were very welcoming to me in there. I’ve heard that some people have had to wait a week or two to get the watch they want. I guess I just got lucky! Even more reassurance that I made the right decision. I hope you enjoy your watch as much as I’ve been enjoying mine. I know this is the honeymoon phase, but I honestly don’t know how I could enjoy any other watch more than this one.
