Tudor 1926

My first luxury watch. I’m going to buy the bracelet separately, because the AD only had the leather strap in stock. I’ve probably got 30-40 leather straps and all kinds of deployant/butterfly clasps, and nothing even comes close to the quality of this one. Incredibly impressed. There’s definitely some quirks with this watch. The strap is backwards, with the short side of the strap on the 6 o’clock. Also, you have to turn the crown counterclockwise to advance the time. Weird, but I enjoy the quirks.

Just be warned -- buying the OEM bracelet after the purchase is a very expensive affair. I don't recommend doing it often. I am still feeling the sting of JLC's asking price for my OEM Master Control bracelet -- 11 years later.

Absolutely marvelous first right there! Beautiful watch! I'm a bracelet guy, I've always been that way and only recently have been trying out different straps but when it's just right, like that 😍 I can't fault you for it at all... Looks absolutely satisfying.

Yeah, I already asked the price for the bracelet separately. This was actually a display model so they couldn’t sell it as new, but it’s pristine. I did the math, and I’m still getting a bit of a discount on the watch, even after buying the bracelet separately. But yeah, you’re 100% correct, the price of the bracelet really stings.

We love ours!

I love the 1926. Especially the black one... if I come across a good deal for a 36mm one ... 💸

I would definitely say do it! I love it so far. I wish it had a more unique movement, but it’s nice if anything happens to go wrong with this one, since it will be cheaper to service. And honestly, the only thing I wish I could change was if this was 36mm instead of 39mm. They definitely wear much larger than they appear and I believe the 36mm would have been the better size for me. Still love this 39mm though.

the 36mm version is quite hard to come by in Europe. They can special order it but I'd really like to try it on first...
